Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
With that said, here are Week 13 locks to cover the spread.
Tony Romo and company will hit the road to take on the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday, and they won't have any trouble covering the spread.
Sure, the Cowboys have struggled in recent weeks to teams with less talent, but the extra rest from playing last Thursday will help them turn things around and get a sound victory over the Cardinals.
Arizona is coming off a hard-fought battle with the St. Louis Rams, whom the Cowboys crushed 34-7 not too long ago. The Cardinals defense ranks 26th in the league, meaning Romo and DeMarco Murray will deliver strong performances to easily cover.
Prediction: Cowboys 30, Cardinals 17
The Jets are also playing on the road this Sunday, but it won't hinder them in covering.
New York takes on the Washington Redskins, who are feeling much better after ending their six-game losing streak this past week.
Unfortunately, the losing will continue, as the Redskins offense will find it very difficult to move the ball against the Jets. They don't have the receivers to out-duel New York's exceptional defensive backs, nor do they have the quarterback to make big-time throws in pressure situations.
Washington has had success against strong teams this year, but the Jets know how important every single game is, and they won't falter against a subpar team.
Prediction: Jets 27, Redskins 16
Another road favorite, the Falcons should have no problems against a one-dimensional Houston Texans offense.
Rookie T.J. Yates will starting at quarterback since both Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart are rehabbing injuries. It's a good thing Yates' first name isn't Matt, or Sunday could be a painful day in more ways than one.
Its already going to be a struggle for the young QB to effectively perform, but if he falls to injury, then the Texans are in even more trouble than one could have imagined.
Yes, they'll use a heavy dose of Arian Foster and the run game, but the Falcons rank second in the league against the run, meaning Yates will be asked to make plenty of throws. Andre Johnson may be back, but it's not going to help the inexperienced QB.
Houston will rely on its No. 1 ranked defense to keep this game close, but with little to no offensive production, it will be hard for them to win. Matt Ryan and company will take care of business and easily cover the three points.
Prediction: Falcons 24, Texans 17
