2011 Super Bowl Odds: Final Record Predictions for All 32 NFL Teams

Jeff GrantNov 22, 2011

The Super Bowl futures market is becoming less volatile as the weeks go by, but some NFL teams are quickly moving up the odds board.

San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has certainly caught the attention of sports bettors, as the franchise lands in the third spot to potentially lift the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.

Let's take a look at the current betting odds and also predict the final regular season record for all 32 NFL teams.

Indianapolis Colts

1 of 32

The Indianapolis Colts have a two-game lead on all other NFL teams in potentially gaining the No. 1 pick in next year's NFL draft, coming off their bye week with an 0-10 record.

Bettors will find that the Colts have been outscored by 169 points this season.

Ouch.

Final Record Prediction: 1-15

Super Bowl Odds: Not Available

Carolina Panthers

2 of 32

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton will not win the Super Bowl after winning last year's college football national title, but progress is being made.

Don't fall asleep on the early wagering in next year's Super Bowl market.

Final Record Prediction: 4-12

Super Bowl Odds: Not Available

Minnesota Vikings

3 of 32

The Minnesota Vikings have tallied a 2-8 record through the first 10 games, and the return of veteran quarterback Brett Favre would be the only thing that would put them back in the market.

He's not coming back.

St. Louis Rams

4 of 32

St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford wants to put this season behind him as fast as possible, especially with the offense producing just 120 points in 10 games.

The former Oklahoma Sooners star needs some more weapons on the perimeter.

Final Record Prediction: 4-12

Super Bowl Odds: Not Available

Washington Redskins

5 of 32

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan is suffering through the first six-game losing streak of his career, something he'll want to snap this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks.

The schedule gets much more difficult after that contest.

Final Record Prediction: 4-12

Super Bowl Odds: Not Available

Jacksonville Jaguars

6 of 32

The Jacksonville Jaguars missed a golden opportunity last week in dropping a 14-10 affair to the Cleveland Browns as one-point road underdogs.

Anything is possible with the league's third-best defense, which allows just 300.2 yards per game.

Running back Maurice Jones-Drew continues to amaze with 941 rushing yards through 10 games of the season.

Final Record Prediction: 5-11

Super Bowl Odds: 750/1

Cleveland Browns

7 of 32

The Cleveland Browns are scoring just 14.5 points per game, something that will not land them in the Super Bowl.

It's important to note that the defense ranks first in defending the pass, giving up just 166.5 yards per game through the air.

Final Record Prediction: 5-11

Super Bowl Odds: 750/1

Arizona Cardinals

8 of 32

The Arizona Cardinals have a long ways to go due to all three wins this season coming against teams with losing records.

Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is enjoying a solid season despite having two different signal-callers under center, while rookie cornerback Patrick Peterson is a star.

Final Record Prediction: 5-11

Super Bowl Odds: 750/1

Seattle Seahawks

9 of 32

The Seattle Seahawks aren't going to sneak into the playoffs as a division winner this year, trailing the San Francisco 49ers by five games.

Second-year head coach Pete Carroll is still in the middle of a major rebuilding process in the Pacific Northwest.

Final Record Prediction: 6-10

Super Bowl Odds: 500/1

Miami Dolphins

10 of 32

The Miami Dolphins have seemingly moved away from the "Suck for Luck" sweepstakes in winning three consecutive games but will be hard pressed to even make the playoffs with the New England Patriots in control of the AFC East division.

All eyes are on head coach Tony Sparano at this time.

Final Record Prediction: 5-11

Super Bowl Odds: 500/1

Kansas City Chiefs

11 of 32

The Kansas City Chiefs are still just two games out in the AFC West divisional race behind the Oakland Raiders but just suffered a 34-3 defeat to the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football.

Four losses of 28 or more points is not going to get you to the Super Bowl.

Final Record Prediction: 5-11

Super Bowl Odds: 500/1

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

12 of 32

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers rank 31st in the league in total defense, allowing 398.9 yards per game.

Quarterback Josh Freeman isn't Tom Brady, and the offense doesn't score enough points to be in the discussion of winning a Super Bowl.

Final Record Prediction: 6-10

Super Bowl Odds: 400/1

Tennessee Titans

13 of 32

The Tennessee Titans are two games behind the Houston Texans in the AFC South divisional race but are still legitimately in the race due to Matt Schaub's foot injury.

Bettors will need to be concerned with the team having just one perceived quality win, tallying a 26-13 home win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2.

Final Record Prediction: 7-9

Super Bowl Odds: 200/1

Buffalo Bills

14 of 32

The Buffalo Bills have fallen flat in losing three consecutive games, scoring 26 points over that particular span.

Falling two games back in the AFC East division standings behind the New England Patriots is a tall mountain to climb.

Final Record Prediction: 8-8

Super Bowl Odds: 200/1

Denver Broncos

15 of 32

Quarterback Tim Tebow has the Mile High City believing that it has a chance of capturing the AFC West division, sitting just a game back in the standings.

The Denver Broncos are definitely balanced, averaging just over 154 rushing and passing yards.

It won't be enough to challenge the NFL elite.

Final Record Prediction: 6-10

Super Bowl Odds: 75/1

Cincinnati Bengals

16 of 32

The Cincinnati Bengals could have established themselves as a major player in this category but missed out on the opportunity with back-to-back losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.

Those two teams are major players and something this youthful roster will look to emulate down the road.

Final Record Prediction: 8-8

Super Bowl Odds: 75/1

San Diego Chargers

17 of 32

The San Diego Chargers have lost five straight games and dug a two-game hole in the AFC West standings behind the Oakland Raiders.

Local sports talk radio is abuzz about head coach Norv Turner, while the health of this football team is declining rapidly.

Final Record Prediction: 7-9

Super Bowl Odds: 40/1

New York Jets

18 of 32

The national sports media should be careful in discounting the New York Jets heading into Week 12, as a favorable schedule remains.

Quarterback Mark Sanchez needs to limit his mistakes, and the backfield needs to regain its health.

Defensively, the unit ranks seventh in the league in total yards—something it will be relying on down the stretch.

Final Record Prediction: 10-6

Super Bowl Odds: 40/1

New York Giants

19 of 32

The New York Giants have fallen back to earth after capturing a 24-20 upset road win over the New England Patriots, including a listless defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Bettors will need to focus in on the team's running game, which needs to improve greatly in order to make a Super Bowl run, ranking 31st in the league in averaging 83.2 rushing yards per game.

Final Record Prediction: 10-6

Super Bowl Odds: 40/1

Philadelphia Eagles

20 of 32

Backup quarterback Vince Young kept the Philadelphia Eagles alive in potentially making a run to the playoffs, coming away with a 17-10 road win over the New York Giants last week.

Michael Vick is listed as questionable to return this week from a rib injury, and he'll need to take better care of the football.

Final Record Prediction: 7-9

Super Bowl Odds: 30/1

Oakland Raiders

21 of 32

The Oakland Raiders are the clear favorites to walk away with the AFC West division title, making them a threat to make some noise in the playoffs.

Running back Darren McFadden's foot injury is a real concern, but the offense is still ranked third in the league in rushing with 156.8 yards per game.

Final Record Prediction: 9-7

Super Bowl Odds: 30/1

Detroit Lions

22 of 32

The Detroit Lions have one of those measuring stick games on Thanksgiving Day, hosting the Green Bay Packers inside Ford Field.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford leads the NFL's eighth-best passing attack, but the running game will need to improve down the stretch.

Final Record Prediction: 9-7

Super Bowl Odds: 30/1

Atlanta Falcons

23 of 32

The Atlanta Falcons definitely offer the best value heading into Week 12 of the season, ranking 12th in total offense and 15th in total defense.

Don't fall asleep on the team that was the No. 1 seed in the NFC just a year ago.

Final Record Prediction: 10-6

Super Bowl Odds: 28/1

Chicago Bears

24 of 32

The Chicago Bears have arguably played the best football of any team over their past five games but suffered a huge blow with quarterback Jay Cutler fracturing his right thumb.

It's certainly still possible, especially with three games against the AFC West division ahead.

Final Record Prediction: 9-7

Super Bowl Odds: +2500

Houston Texans

25 of 32

The Houston Texans have the league's No. 1 defense in terms of yardage allowed heading into Week 12, which is a credit to coordinator Wade Phillips.

Everyone's eyes will be focused on backup quarterback Matt Leinart, who will be filling in for Matt Schaub.

Bettors will have a tough decision to make when walking up to the betting window.

Final Record Prediction: 10-6

Super Bowl Odds: 16/1

Dallas Cowboys

26 of 32

The Dallas Cowboys definitely make things interesting but should be respected due to ranking in the top 10 in both total offense and defense.

Quarterback Tony Romo's play down the stretch will be the key, coming into the week with 2,800 passing yards.

Two games against the New York Giants will decide the team's fate.

Final Record Prediction: 10-6

Super Bowl Odds: 16/1

Baltimore Ravens

27 of 32

The Baltimore Ravens are tied atop the AFC North division but hold the key tiebreaker over the Pittsburgh Steelers due to sweeping the season series.

Head coach John Harbaugh faces off against his brother and the San Francisco 49ers on Thanksgiving Day—a huge game for both teams.

A definite player.

Final Record Prediction: 11-5

Super Bowl Odds: 12/1

Pittsburgh Steelers

28 of 32

Sports bettors will be watching the football leave Ben Roethlisberger's hand closely this weekend as the Pittsburgh Steelers come off their bye week.

The franchise is downplaying his broken right thumb, but only his play on the field will matter.

A solid performance on Sunday will likely drop the betting odds significantly.

Final Record Prediction: 11-5

Super Bowl Odds: 11/1

New Orleans Saints

29 of 32

The New Orleans Saints are major players to win the Super Bowl and are still undervalued in the betting odds due to the resurgent San Francisco 49ers.

Quarterback Drew Brees leads an offense that paces the league in averaging 436.9 yards per game—something that shouldn't be overlooked.

Final Record Prediction: 11-5

Super Bowl Odds: 10/1

San Francisco 49ers

30 of 32

The San Francisco 49ers have tallied an 8-0-1 against-the-spread mark this season, while jumping out to a commanding five-game lead in the NFC West division.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh has placed a major emphasis on stopping the run, leading the league in giving up just 73.9 rushing yards per game.

A contender to challenge all comers in the NFC.

Final Record Prediction: 12-4

Super Bowl Odds: 8/1

New England Patriots

31 of 32

The New England Patriots are back in favor with the public due to capturing a 34-3 contest over the Kansas City Chiefs as 17-point home favorites, but that could be a mistake.

Bettors should still be wary in backing a team that's giving up over 400 yards per game.

Tread carefully—even with Tom Brady under center.

Final Record Prediction: 11-5

Super Bowl Odds: 5/1

Green Bay Packers

32 of 32

The Green Bay Packers are still the only undefeated team in the National Football League, which has caused any value to vanish in backing them to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers can practically wrap up the MVP award with a major performance against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day.

The clear favorite.

Final Record Prediction: 15-1

Super Bowl Odds: 2/1
