Eagles vs. Giants: New York Pass Rush Will Be Too Much for Vince Young
The last time the Philadelphia Eagles came to MetLife Stadium, they crushed the Giants’ playoff hopes on DeSean Jackson’s stunning game-winning punt return TD. For tonight’s return trip, however, the Eagles will be without the other offensive hero from that game, QB Michael Vick.
With Vick out of action with a pair of broken ribs, Vince Young will make his first start in a Philadelphia uniform. The erratic Young would be a gamble at best in his first appearance of the season, but he’s in an even worse position because of the defense that will be lining up against him.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
No team in the NFL has dropped opposing QBs more often than the Giants, who have 30 sacks on the season. In the first meeting of the year between these two teams, the New York D knocked Vick out of the game with a broken hand in a performance that saw them log two sacks (both by Jason Pierre-Paul) and three interceptions.
If Young has time to get into a rhythm, the Eagles’ fleet receivers and his own improvisational skills will make him a threat to pull off the upset. The Giants’ line, though, is strong enough that they can ensure he won’t have that time.
New York’s offense will have plenty of confidence in its own right—Eli Manning tossed four TDs in the first game—so even if Young makes a big play or two, there will be a safety blanket. Given Young’s track record, though, it will be a surprise if the Giants don’t have another big takeaway total in a convincing win.
