MLB Free Agents 2012: 3 Perfect Destinations for Prince Fielder
Prince Fielder and any of the three following teams would be a match made in heaven. It is also a strong possibility.
At this point, it is a foregone conclusion that Fielder will leave the Brewers. He will have a new team, and it would be beneficial for him and the team if it were one of the following places.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
The Cubs are the team most closely attached to Fielder this offseason, and for good reason.
This tweet gives a glimpse into the fans excitement over landing Fielder and his potential to put up huge numbers there.
Helping fuel this speculation is the notion that new GM Theo Epstein will be anxious to make a big splash. And this splash would be a perfect fit. As Scott Boras pointed out, Fielder has hit well in Wrigley.
Also, the Cubs offense is in dire need of a bat like his. The Cubs only hit 148 home runs last season. And while first baseman Carlos Pena led the team with 28 home runs, he added little else. Pena hit just .225 on the season.
Pena is also a free agent. Fielder would be a huge upgrade for this offense. The biggest drawback here is that the Cubs play in the National League meaning that they don't have a DH.
The Mariners desperately need Fielder's offense. This is a team that hit just 109 home runs in 2010, and only scored 556 runs.
For these reasons it is not surprising that the Mariners have expressed interest in the slugging first baseman.
While at first glance, the pitcher friendly park that is Safeco Field may appear to be a bad fit for Fielder, that is not the case.
The Mariners' home field features a relatively short right-field porch (326 feet), and the ball flies out well in that direction. This would be ideal for the left-handed hitting Fielder.
Playing in Seattle would also allow Fielder to slide into the DH role.
The Orioles have the park, the need and the fan interest to add Fielder. Now they just have to open up their pocketbooks to do so.
It is a move that would greatly energize a downtrodden fanbase.
The Orioles definitely could use his offense. In 2010 they hit just 191 home runs and scored just 708 runs.
Fielder would boost those numbers in the hitter-friendly Camden Yards. It is just 318 feet down the right-field line.
These two would fit like a glove. Now it is time for the Orioles to make the commitment.
