Broncos vs. Chiefs: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More

Alex KayNov 9, 2011

The Denver Broncos are stampeding into Kansas City to take on the Chiefs hot off a win.

Kansas City just suffered a heartbreaking and stunning loss to the then-winless Miami Dolphins last week after winning four straight.

Denver got a great division win last week against Oakland and is looking to continue their climb back up the AFC West ladder with a second straight win.

Listen: KOA 850 AM – DEN, 101.1 FM - KC

Betting Line: Chiefs -3

What's At Stake?

The AFC West is still wide open because of the ineptitude in the division thus far this season.

Kansas City is technically on top right now, but they are 4-4 along with the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders.

The Broncos are only one game out, currently sitting at 3-5 and looking to gain ground with a win on Sunday.

It will be a good game with many playoff implications because only one team from this division is going to the postseason.

Broncos Injury Report (via CBSSports.com)

S Rahim Moore – DBT (Concussion) – Moore suffered a nasty concussion and most likely won’t be ready to go on Sunday. He was just cracking the starting rotation for the team and the rookie will have to earn it back.

Chiefs Injury Report (via CBSSports.com)

DB/KR Javier Arenas – QST (Ankle) – Arenas injured his ankle and hurt the depth of KC’s kick-return game and secondary last week against Miami. His status for Week 10 is currently unknown

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit' Em and Sleeper

Start ‘Em: Wills McGahee

McGahee wasn’t even supposed to play after getting hand surgery the previous week, but he went off.

He torched the Raiders for 163 yards on 20 carries and scored two touchdowns. Look for him to continue his dominant play as the Broncos tailor their offense around Tebow and his strengths.

One of his biggest strengths happens to be the RB option.

Sit ‘Em: Eric Decker

Decker is a solid player but an elite cornerback in Brandon Flowers will keep him locked down.

Tebow isn’t good at throwing the ball yet in the NFL, and Flowers will have an easy time keeping Decker under control.

Sleeper: Steve Breaston

Breaston went crazy against Miami and had 115 yards on seven catches.

He’s got a great matchup against the Broncos' weak defense, which is giving up tons of fantasy points to opposing WRs and QBs.

What They're Saying

Jeff Legwold at The Denver Post is reporting that the Broncos are considering switching to a full-time option offense to take advantage of Tim Tebow’s strengths.

"We're trying to put guys in position where they can succeed," Broncos coach John Fox said. "It's something he's more comfortable with. He has a lot of confidence in it."

It worked out for Denver last week as they used the option to punish the Raiders on the ground despite an ineffective passing game.

Kent Babb at The Kansas City Star notes that the Chiefs are struggling to get to the quarterback and it lead to Matt Moore being named the Week 9 AFC Offensive Player award.

“The guy [Moore] played really well and we didn’t,” coach Todd Haley said. “We obviously didn’t make it any harder on him by not creating pressure.”

Sunday’s loss might have been new — it was the Chiefs’ first since the season’s third week — but the absence of a pass rush was not. The team’s nine sacks are the NFL’s lowest total, and the most discouraging thing about it is that this wasn’t supposed to be a weakness.

Broncos Player to Watch: Tim Tebow

Tebow is always the player to see for the Broncos when he is on the field. He is the most polarizing player in the NFL right now and he’s always exciting to watch.

I expect him to have a good game against the Chiefs but you never really know how he will do, which makes him so great to watch.

Chiefs Player to Watch: Matt Cassel

Cassel is going to have a solid rebound game against this simple Broncos defense.

Opposing QBs constantly light them up and Cassel will do just fine on Sunday delivering the ball to his receivers.

Key Matchup: Chiefs Defense vs. Broncos Offense

If the Chiefs can pressure Tebow and stop the run they will win this game.

If they cannot, well, it will be a long day for them in Arrowhead.

Their offense is good enough to hang around with the Broncos, but they can’t win a shootout.

On the Hotseat: Tim Tebow

Does anyone else have more pressure on them than Tebow? Coach John Fox keeps giving him weekly guarantees to start, but not the season it seems.

He’s constantly auditioning for his job and may not even be around let alone starting for the Broncos next season if he doesn’t have a decent year.
