Louisville vs. West Virginia: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Radio, Game Time & More
Records can be thrown out of the window in this weekend's forthcoming matchup between Louisville (4-4, 2-1 Big East) and West Virginia (6-2, 2-1 Big East). Every time Big East teams get on the field, regardless of who they are, there is a chance for a shocking result.
We've already seen one this year, when the Mountaineers imploded in the Carrier Dome against Syracuse, and we could be in for another this weekend.
The Louisville Cardinals, who are riding a two-game winning streak that includes a win over the aforementioned Syracuse, pose a big threat to the Mountaineers' Top 25 ranking.
With Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and South Florida still looming on the schedule for West Virginia, the Big East remains wide open.

BCS/Top 25 Implications
This game's outcome will play a major role in determining the Big East race.
Cincinnati is still unbeaten in the Big East and Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Louisville have only one loss.
Furthermore, the Mountaineers still need to play Cincy, Pitt and South Florida.
The Big East winner is automatically placed in a BCS bowl, so the winner here gets a huge leg up in chasing Cincinnati.
Louisville, who already lost to the Bearcats, can snag a win here and hope the Mountaineers take care of business against Cincinnati when they see them.
What They're Saying
West Virginia comes into this game with one of the top passing offenses in the nation. The Charleston Gazette's Dave Hickman wants everyone to know that Louisville is no slouch on defense. Hickman writes:
"Know this, though: Louisville can play defense.
In eight games this season, no team has scored more than three touchdowns against the Cardinals. Six of the eight have scored two or fewer.
Louisville ranks No. 12 in the country in total defense and No. 11 in points allowed. The Cardinals are equally adept at stopping the run and the pass.
For a West Virginia team that seems lately reduced to outscoring teams in order to win, that presents a challenge.
"
The young Louisville is only getting better with each passing week.
Louisville Player to Watch: Preston Brown, LB
The sophomore linebacker was dominant in the team's win over Syracuse last week. He recorded seven tackles—including two sacks—and was a driving force in a team effort that limited the Orange to season lows in points and yards.
If he can get after quarterback Geno Smith of the Mountaineers, things can flip quickly in this game.
West Virginia Player to Watch: Geno Smith, QB
The junior quarterback can chuck the rock. He's thrown 20 touchdowns and only five interceptions for over 2,700 yards this season.
He is at the head of a big-play offense and has some dynamic weapons to work with.
Smith's big arm makes him a threat to strike at any time.
Key Matchup: WVU receivers vs. Louisville secondary
Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin are an extremely difficult duo to cover.
If the Louisville defensive front can't get any pressure on Smith, they'll have to hope they can shut this pair down in coverage.
It certainly isn't easy, they've amassed 1,500 yards between the two of them on the year, but Louisville is giving up only 295 total yards per game.
Prediction: West Virginia 27, Louisville 17
