Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Sometimes the biggest justification for adding a guy is not his own play but rather who he has to play with. Andy Dalton is that guy.
Dalton has averaged over 15 points per game during the last three weeks and doesn’t appear to be slowing down. He is learning quickly that he has some great playmakers in A.J. Green and Jermaine Gresham, and that he only has to get them the ball to be successful.
Dalton ranks around 20th or so among quarterbacks in most leagues, which makes him a good backup option unless your starter has a Week 7 bye.
Curtis Painter
Painter may only be a backup, but he’s actually become a fairly solid fantasy backup.
He’s thrown for over 700 yards in three games and has averaged around 15 points per week since he was named the Colts’ starter. He ranks near the bottom among quarterbacks in most leagues but is still a very solid backup option in bigger leagues.
Another upside for Painter is that the Colts will likely be down a lot this season, so he’ll be throwing the ball quite a bit.
Brandon Pettigrew
Pettigrew is showing that Matthew Stafford has more receivers to throw to in Detroit.
Pettigrew ranks in the top half of tight ends in most leagues, making him a good option even if he isn’t among the elite just yet. He’s already shown multiple times this season that he is very capable of getting double digits in games.
He’s also a young guy and will more than likely improve as the season goes on as teams key in more on the Lions’ receiving corps.
