UFC 136 Results: Dana White Says Frankie Edgar Is No. 2 Pound for Pound
At UFC 136 on Saturday night, Frankie Edgar came back from a first-round beatdown—again— and this time, he was able to win, and finish, Gray "The Bully" Maynard.
After the fight, Dana White took the podium and made a huge claim at the post-fight press conference, when he stated that Frankie Edgar "is the No. 2 pound-for-pound fighter in the world."
Dana went on to say "if you look at what pound for pound means, it's undeniable that Frankie Edgar is No. 2... he's a 145-pounder, and he's knocking out guys at 155... the only thing keeping him from being No. 1 is the fact that Anderson Silva hasn't lost in the UFC."
Also, anticipating people disagreeing with him, Dana said "You're wrong, I'm right" and "I don't give a s*** what anyone thinks".
Not only that, but Dana also said that he believes that Frankie is "the best boxer in the UFC."
In another piece of huge news from the post-fight press conference, Dana also said that if Edgar wants to fight Aldo, he will have to give up his belt and go down to 145.
That's unfortunate for fight fans to hear, as we are unlikely to see a Champion vs. Champion between these two then.
