NFL Picks Week 2: 4 Favorites Who Will Be Upset at Home This Week

Kyle VassaloJun 2, 2018

The only thing worse than losing at home is losing at home to an underdog, which is exactly what four favorites are going to experience on Sunday. Last week, we saw the Bills dismantle the Chiefs in an embarrassing blowout loss Arrowhead, and this week holds more of the same.

Here are four favorites who will be shocked at home this week by underdogs.

It's hard to believe that the Saints could very well be sitting at 0-2 after this week, but their tough schedule has them on the brink of doing so. They take on the Bears this week, who destroyed the Falcons in their opener.

The Saints put up a fight against the Packers, and being at home, they are bound to be competitive. With no Colston though, their passing game isn't going to be as effective as it needs to be and their run game isn't going to go anywhere.

The Bills looked impressive last week, to say the least. They proved they aren't going to lay down and accept being a bottom-feeder in the AFC East this season. Even so, the Raiders are going to be too much for the Bills to handle in Week 2.

Ryan Fitzpatrick faces a much better secondary this week than he did last week, and Darren McFadden just might have another monster game lying in front of him. The Bills have plenty of wins in front of them, but this isn't one of them.

Donovan McNabb didn't look good last week, and there is a solid chance he'll struggle against Tampa Bay. Adrian Peterson can only do so much, and if the passing game doesn't get going for Minnesota, it's going to be game over.

Tampa Bay had a tough game last week as well. This week, you can expect to see LeGarrette Blount more heavily involved in the offense, which will help open up the passing game for Josh Freeman to take advantage. The Bucs dominated on the road last year and have no problem with the hostility.

The Broncos playing at home has no significance in this game. Kyle Orton might even benefit from playing on the road at this point, as the boo birds are already out in Denver. The second he throws a bad pass, the Tebow chants are going to start.

To make matters worse, the Broncos are terrible against the run. Cedric Benson is going to have a monster day, and the Bengals could easily move to 2-0 to start the season, as odd as that sounds.
