Fantasy Football Week 1 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: 5 Wide Receivers You Shouldn't Trust
In life, you just have to know how when somebody is untrustworthy.
The same goes for fantasy football.
While there are a lot of guys out there who are going to produce week in and week out, there are a lot of guys whom you just can't trust to do the same.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Most of them are wide receivers. They are an inconsistent lot and are oftentimes quite frustrating. We are going to be reminded of this much over the next couple of days.
Unless, of course, you weed out the untrustworthy guys and stash them on your bench.
For your convenience, I have compiled a list of five of the worst.
5. Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts
Fantasy owners love Reggie Wayne. Between 2004 and now, no wide receiver has been so consistent.
The one constant in all those years, of course, was Peyton Manning. But as everyone has no doubt already heard, Manning is not going to be able to play on Sunday against the Houston Texans.
Don't trust that Wayne will be able to get it done without him.
4. Jeremy Maclin, Philadelphia Eagles
Just like Wayne, fantasy owners love Jeremy Maclin. He's only been in the league for two years, but they've been good years.
On the eve of Maclin's third year, though, there is cause for concern. Namely, just how healthy is Maclin?
That's something we really don't know. A strange illness caused Maclin to be sidelined for much of the offseason and he didn't play at all during the preseason.
Until Maclin shows he's healthy, don't rely on him.
3. Braylon Edwards, San Francisco 49ers
I think Braylon Edwards was a good signing by the 49ers. He may have a case of the dropsies, but he's certainly more reliable than Michael Crabtree.
But because the 49ers are still sending Alex Smith out there, who knows how often Edwards will actually get passes to catch. They may come eventually, but don't expect them to come right away.
Besides, it's Frank Gore's offense.
2. Greg Little, Cleveland Browns
Outside of Julio Jones and A.J. Green, there may be no rookie wide receiver more exciting that Greg Little. He's looked good, and he could be the Browns' No. 1 wide receiver before long.
But he isn't that quite yet.
The Browns seem intent on bringing Little along slowly, and it could be some time before he wins over both Pat Shurmur and Colt McCoy.
I think that day will come, but not this weekend.
1. Sidney Rice, Seattle Seahawks
Sidney Rice had a great season for the Minnesota Vikings in 2009, and for that, the Seahawks gave him a rich contract.
The only problem is that they went out and signed Tarvaris Jackson to be Rice's quarterback. They could have done better, but they went for Jackson.
Jackson and Rice could be a dangerous combination, but do you honestly think they will be?
Oh, by the way, Rice has a sore shoulder and is questionable for Seattle's opener at the San Francisco 49ers.
