WWE: The 50 Greatest Toys and Collectibles in Wrestling History

Robert AitkenJun 7, 2018

Who doesn't love wrestling toys?

When we were kids, any toy with our favorite wrestler on it was the best thing in the entire world. We can even make the argument that it was the toys that helped feed our obsession with pro wrestling and helped us become as avid as we are today about it.

Over the years, wrestling promotions have put their names on just about anything and everything. Some are stupid and others we wish we had owned.

There is also the collectibles aspect of this argument. Some things that had WWE plastered on it were just nice nicknack's to have around the house. We may have thought they might have been worth something one day, and some of them might be in the future.

There are some odd items on this list, but everything here is thought by one person or another to be worth the money to be bought.

50) Garden Knome

1 of 50

I stll can't believe that WWE made things like these. They would easily be the first things targeted by kids looking to vandalize a lawn.

Yes, Mr. Garden Knome. I wish I couldn't see you, but I will admit that it is kind of funny and unique.

49) Christmas Ornaments

2 of 50

Nothing says Christmas like having the Undertaker staring at you from a shiny ball on your tree.

These ornaments may sound silly in retrospect, but they were the coolest thing about prepping the house for Christmas to a young kid. Also, it helped make the parents feel guilty about it and force them to buy at least one to shut the kid up at the store they were sold at.

48) Wrestling License

3 of 50

When younger fans get their first wallet, they want to stick things into it and feel like an adult. To accompany this, WWE created fake licenses for their WWE superstars.

It has a lot of information about the wrestler including hometown, finishing moves, and weight class. For some, like Umaga, who use ring names different than their real name, their real names were even put on the licenses.

Way to break kayfabe over a thing like this.

47) Kerplunk

4 of 50

Who wouldn't love to play a game of Kerplunk with WWE logos on it?

It's a fun game, and it teaches a valuable lesson to kids: pick the wrong stick to pull out and marbles will fall onto your favorite superstars, who stand in the ring below.

46) Title Ring

5 of 50

Who wouldn't love a real WWE championship belt? What if we made it just as expensive and fit it around your finger? Give your bride-to-be a Million Dollar Championship ring and watch her eyes glass over from the sparkle until she realizes it's a wrestling thing and calls off the marriage.

If you choose to wear this around yourself and look like a mob boss from the 90s, prepare to get two altercations from a mugger. The first will be you getting the ring stolen from you. The second will be getting this ring given back to you.

To be fair, it is kind of cool looking. I just couldn't bear the thought of actually wearing it out on the town.

45) Bracelets

6 of 50

Remember the trend of the really thick bracelets? John Cena put his name on those things, too.

44) Juicebox Cartidge

7 of 50

In the early 2000s, Juice Box came out as a music and video player to compete with Game Boy Advance. The problem is that GBA could also play video games and ended up phasing out Juice Box. The company did make a deal with channels to have game cartridges with their superstars' matches and entrance videos.

These are rare to see nowadays, especially seeing anything with the name Chris Benoit on it. They started out as toys, but are now interesting collectibles.

43) Bobblehead

8 of 50

Fun fact: Hornswoggle's bobblehead doll is drawn to scale and is only one-third his actual size.

In all seriousness, bobbleheads are always a hit no matter who you are talking about. A little figure with a wobbly head just seems to make anyone giggle.

42) Inflatable Bed

9 of 50

Doesn't that bed look comfortable?

Even though the older crowd may see something that looks more like a bounce castle, this inflatable bed is a very cool idea for any young fan. Not only do they get to sleep in the thing, but it shows the illusion of ring ropes on one end and a titantron-esque look on the head of the bed.

41) Teddy Bear

10 of 50

These teddy bears are well known from the last few years.

It's funny to see some of these superstars in bear form. While Batista's bear with a navel tattoo is always a big hit, I have a soft spot for the CM Punk straightedge teddy. With the tattoos on the arms, the taped hands, and the hair, all this guy is missing is thre pierced lip.

Best teddy bear ever.

40) Tough Talkers

11 of 50

These aren't your ordinary wristbands. These wristbands make noises when motions are made. It'll be cool to do John Cena's motions and have your wristbands saying "You Can't See Me." After a while, your parents may have heard "You Shouldn't Have Bought Me" instead.

All in all, a great buy, especially if it gets under other people's skin.

39) TV Tray

12 of 50

This thing still looks cool to me.

Back when TV dinners were all the rage with a kid, what kid in their right mind would'nt want one of these trays to put their dinner on while they watch their favorite superstars on TV?

This is a great collector's item that would be worth a good amount of money in the right circles. Personally, I would like to eat dinner off of something like this, if only for the nostalgia.

38) Superstar Gear

13 of 50

You too can dress like your favorite wrestling superstars.

While some, like John Cena and the Undertaker are managable, I was a little taken back by the idea of dressing like Umaga. The mask to represent the tribal paint and the robes, along with a shirt that looks like skin with tattoos, is a little too much to swallow.

37) Watch

14 of 50

What better way to tell the time than to have a logo of your favorite wrestler on it. This isn't your traditional electronic watch. These watches are legitimate metal matches that won't die very easily on you.

36) Sleeves

15 of 50

I would have loved these if I was younger when CM Punk came out. These sleeves look very cool and are probably more comfortable than all of that tape, which probably takes forever to put on anyway.

35) Sky Slam

16 of 50

Judging by the looks of it, it's some kind of game like marbles or something. I really don't know, but it includes catapulting toys into a ring, so I'm in.

34) Light Up Belt

17 of 50

We saw this backstage last year, specifically when Ted DiBiase was down on his luck. Maryse made fun of him about not winning a title belt and DiBiase lashed back. It looked like it was Ted's turn to finally get a chance, but it wasn't.

Either way, these belts look pretty cool and seem like a good gift for a kid.

33) Game Controller

18 of 50

Video games are one thing, but game controllers are entirely different.

While having a wrestling game is cool, it is much better to have a game controller personalized to a game. It almost has the feel of a custom controller and shows a bit of your personality.

This controller shows that the person who owns it is a wrestling fan, as opposed to a boring and generic controller.

32) Hat

19 of 50

I've never been much for hats in wrestling. A lot of them are forced because not a lot of superstars wear hats to the ring. For instance, The Rock has never worn this "I Bring It" hat to the ring.

Regardless, it does look cool.

31) Puzzle

20 of 50

Who doesn't love a nice puzzle, especially if it is WWE superstar Randy Orton?

A 100-piece puzzle shouldn't take more than a few hours, but you better not give up. Orton has been known to snap on people for doing less damaging things things to him.

30) Megaphone

21 of 50

I like this little kids toy. Whether you want to pretend to be Jimmy Hart, say whatever you want like CM Punk, or be loud and annoying like Vickie Guerrero, this toy lets you do all of that and more.

29) Slam Attax

22 of 50

The card game craze continues to this very day.

Topps came out with Attax card games for multiple sports and didn't forget about WWE either. Now, people can use their favorite superstars and have them go head-to-head with one another via card form.

28) Silly Bandz

23 of 50

People go crazy over Silly Bandz.

I will admit that it is interesting to see pieces of rubber in those unusual shapes, but wearing and collecting them are just a little too much for me.

Regardless, these things have to sell since they have been everywhere.

27) Thumb Wrestlers

24 of 50

Look at how cool these little things are. You can put them on your thumb when you thumb wrestle with someone. If you aren't that good at thumb wrestling, don't bother picking someone good and turning them into a jobber.

26) Cutout

25 of 50

Don't ask me the practicality of having this in your room. However, it is cool to have a life-size cutout of your favorite superstar.

I can think of a few things that some people would do with this, especially a John Cena one. One of those things, however, will be addressed in a later slide.

25) Flex Force Figures

26 of 50

These are the current crop of WWE action figures.

They have springs in certain areas that have them punch or kick with a lot of authority. Some of them look a little bit awkward, though. Kofi Kingston's has a lot of kicking power, but it looks like he is sitting on an imaginary horse.

24) Fatheads

27 of 50

Gigantic stickers that can be removed at any time from your walls? Forget hanging pictures or posters. I'll take some of these. Sign me up.

23) Wristbands

28 of 50

The classic wristbands are exactly what the real superstars wear. Not only are they useful in wearing them to events, but they could probably do just as good of a job during a workout.

22) Hotwheels Cars

29 of 50

These things are cool. Superstar-inspired racecars takes pro wrestling and cars and puts them together. How perfect is it to see a hot rod inspired by "Rowdy" Roddy Piper?

21) DVD Game

30 of 50

We don't all know everything, even if we act like it. For the wrestling fans looking to learn something new or brush up something old, the DVD game is a nice way to watch and relive moments and put your knowledge to the test.

20) Rumblers

31 of 50

These little guys look really cool. I could imagine having some of these on my desk. Then again, it wouldn't be so crazy for me to have some nowadays, would it?

19) Rey Mysterio Mask

32 of 50

One of the hottest items in WWE over the last few years has been the mask of Rey Mysterio. Countless amounts are sold everywhere in all types of colors and designs. Some of the more authentic ones can cost a pretty penny.

Luckily, there is a mask for anyone's price range.

18) Squirty Heads

33 of 50

These things were cool when I was a kid. All it did was squirt water when you filled the head with water. It was those simpler things that we all got a kick out of. It also was funny to squirt water at people and get them wet.

Oh, what memories...

17) Shot Glasses

34 of 50

I could not believe that they made these, especially after they became WWE. I don't know where to get them, but I want them. And yes, before you ask in the comments, there isn't a CM Punk one. I looked for it.

I'm just as disappointed as you are.

16) Stretch Em Dolls

35 of 50

Take Stretch Armstrong and make him look like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

It seems like the perfect toy at the time, but anyone that has ever had a Stretch Armstrong or one of its related figures knows that it can eventually break and get a little messy.

Even still, these would still be good sellers today.

15) Vinyl Aggression

36 of 50

The vinyl figure is a very popular item lately.

When WWE came out with their own dolls, they flew off the shelves. I don't know what it is about them either, but they are cool looking. I picked the Jimmy Wang Yang one for this slide on purpose so I could have the most obscure wrestler right here.

14) Punching Bag

37 of 50

I will await your thank you messages for discovering this.

I don't know if it is officially endorsed by WWE or it was some company putting his image on it. Either way, it won't go unsold. There are enough people in this world who are going to live their fantasies when they get to punch John Cena.

13) Pay-Per-View Posters

38 of 50

Posters nowadays are much more fashionable now than they were before. Now, the selling process for a pay-per-view seems to begin with the poster for the event. Some are better than others, but a very memorable one, especially if you go to it, could be hung up like art.

12) Jim Duggan 2x4

39 of 50

There have been plenty of foam objects sold to fans over the years. None of them were as special to fans as the foam 2x4 from "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan.

No other object like it has connected with the fans as well as his did. When he put his real piece of wood in the air, you could put your fake one along with him.

11) Stationary Figure

40 of 50

Not quite an action figure, figures like these were more like statues than anything. Standing still on their stand, it was almost like a shrine to your favorite superstar.

More importantly, they were harder to damage compared to fellow action figures. This meant that they would look nicer for longer amounts of time, as well as be more valuable, should you decide to sell them.

10) Toy Title

41 of 50

Toy titles are commonplace and used for many different purposes.

Pro sports teams have used belts to signify the game's MVP in their locker room. Groups of friends have used the belts as running jokes for their own personal use. It is also common to see little kids and nerds buy them and carry them around at wrestling events.

9) Shirt

42 of 50

I love wrestling shirts. In fact, I am wearing one right now. It helps me get into the spirit of writing about wrestling.

Wrestling shirts are now less about the actual superstar and more about being fashionable. Shirts can be worn in public without feeling so guilty about being a fan.

8) Foam Finger

43 of 50

Foam fingers are a fixture of sports for many years now. Wrestling has since joined in on the fad, having many of their top stars get their own fingers of hands that go with their gimmicks.

The classic one, of course, is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's middle finger. Austin would have his fans tell him that he is No. 1 in the only way he would appreciate it.

It has since been redesigned with the index finger sticking up, but these are a lot better.

7) Wrestling Ring

44 of 50

If you love your wrestling action figures, buying a ring is all but a matter of time. Some rings are only compatible with certain figures and others have cooler features than the rest.

For the most part, any ring is a good ring and can make for hours upon hours of fun.

6) Pay-Per-View Chair

45 of 50

These chairs are so cool that I wouldn't mind having one myself. Take a poster hyping an event and put it on the chair and you have yourself a great collector's item.

Never have I wanted to sit on top of a picture of Kurt Angle and John Cena until now.

5) Wrestling DVDs

46 of 50

Wrestling DVDs are a great thing to collect. While there are clips of matches and entire sites dedicated to showing many wrestling pay-per-views, wrestling DVDs are a nice collectible to hold onto.

There are good bonus features to many of them and give you the chance to watch great matches again whenever you wish to.

4) Old School Posters

47 of 50

Any old school match cards are a must-have for wrestling fans.

Before the age of television, the only way to know all the matches you would see is from a poster that would have all of the matches listed on it. In a huge match card, like the one pictured, the bigger your name was and the bigger your name was, the bigger deal you were at the time.

If you were pictured, you were likely a main eventer. In fact, the terms of being a "midcard" wrestler and the like stem from posters like these.

3) Autographs

48 of 50

Autographs on anything are always a great wrestling collectible. Autographs may accompany anything, but few things beat the classic autographed headshot.

I've never been a fan of autographed clothing because it will mean you either frame the clothes and hang up a bulky piece of clothing or keep it out in the open and risk ruining the autograph. Then there's the bonehead move of wearing that clothing.

The only exception to this rule is a hat.

2) Wrestling Action Figures

49 of 50

This isn't about any crazy figure that can sweat, fling its arms, talk, or any other crazy thing they can come up with. These are just your basic wrestling action figures.

They bend at the arms and legs and might have the ability to turn their heads. Maybe they have a chance to hold something in their hands. Honestly, they have nothing very significant to them except that they are classics and very old school.

While I mentioned the current FlexForce toys earlier, these were the original action figures for wrestling. A figure, like the one pictured, of George "The Animal" Steele is being auctioned for a couple of thousand dollars on eBay.

Not only do they become great childhood toys that are built to last, but they have the potential for being sold for a lot of cash. It makes them the perfect toy for any wrestling fan...

1) Wrestling Buddies

50 of 50

Forget those dolls, these things look awesome!

Not only are they dolls that are soft like pillows, but you can even wrestle them. That last part was seen in the commercials for them when they came out in the 1990s, as well as in a recent episode of Zack Ryder's Z! True Long Island Story. These things can make for something to snuggle with in bed or for a nice pillow during a nap.

Now that I think about it, I might want one again.
