It was less than a month ago that Bautista was confirmed to be taking over the role of Kratos. Veteran actor Ryan Hurst was originally cast in the role and put on 40 pounds of muscle to play the part. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn biceps while filming a stunt in late June that required surgery, and his recovery timeline extended beyond the shooting schedule.
Bautista is widely regarded as the greatest wrestler-turned-actor of all time, so fans will certainly be looking forward to seeing him star as the beloved video game character when God of War makes its way to Prime Video.
