Michael Wilson Lands Cardinals Contract Extension, Full Details Revealed in New NFL Rumors

The Arizona Cardinals haven't had much to celebrate in recent years, but they created a moment of positivity on Thursday by rewarding one of their rising young stars with a new deal.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport, the Cardinals and wide receiver Michael Wilson agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $75 million that includes $47 million guaranteed.

Wilson enjoyed a breakout season in 2025, recording career highs across the board with 78 catches for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns. He was the first Cardinals receiver to surpass 1,000 yards since DeAndre Hopkins in 2020, and he and tight end Trey McBride (1,239 yards) were the first Cardinals teammates to produce over 1,000 yards in the same season since 2015.

Wilson, McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr. give Arizona a strong crop of young pass-catchers for its future franchise quarterback. The Cardinals used a third-round pick in the 2026 draft to select signal-caller Carson Beck out of Miami, but veteran Jacoby Brissett will open the year as the team's starter against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 13.

Rewarding Wilson is a sign that the Cardinals are moving in the right direction as they try to complete their rebuild and return to playoff contention.
