2011 NBA Draft Results: Shelvin Mack Goes No. 34 to Washington Wizards

As he showed during Butler’s impressive run back the NCAA Tournament Finals, where the Bulldogs lost for the second-straight year, Shelvin Mack was an elite scorer at the college level.

Mack has produced consistently ever since he first stepped foot on the floor for Brad Stevens, but his production topped out during his junior season, this past year, at 16.0 points, 3.4 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.

The 6’2” combo guard’s biggest calling cards are his strength, especially useful when he drives among the trees of the NBA, and his jump shot, which should easily translate to the next level.

Mack needs to work on his passing if he’s going to play the point and he definitely should since he’s a few inches too short to play shooting guard.

He's clearly not going to start over John Wall, so Mack will have to accept being a backup.
