WWE: Is John Cena being forced to work with R-Truth?
Last night on RAW we got to see some dynamic matches, some real entertainment and a champion (John Cena) that looks like he is frustrated with having to work with his opponent.
While R-Truth stole the show last night with his “crazy” black man routine and subsequent attack of John Morrison, John Cena looked uncomfortable working with the angle put in front of him and more at ease with CM Punk, whom he fought in the last segment and lost to because of R-Truth’s interference outside the ring.
This is becoming more of a statement from Cena, with body language and inferences backstage that he would prefer to work with Punk in a storyline for the WWE Championship. Writers and executives within the WWE have gone out of their way to build Capital Punishment as a match between good and evil and Truth is playing his part better than expected.

Only one problem, that being Cena looks so disinterested in the entire skit.
This has happened before in the WWE with top-tier wrestlers. Hulk Hogan, although he was working in film and asked for the time off from carrying the title, did not want to work an angle with the Ultimate Warrior.
Goldberg did not like working with Hall and Nash when he was forced to give up the title. And there were times when Randy Savage did not want to work with certain angles or story lines because it meant having to relinquish the World Heavyweight Title.
This may not be the same situation, but when your leader of the pack does not enjoy his work, it is evident and it shows on television. Cena wants to work with Punk or anyone else but Truth. Truth, who has worked hard over the last month to become the hottest thing in the business, has become the best heel in the WWE in many years.
If Truth wins the title, it will be interesting to see who challenges him for the title right away. Cena obviously will be in line, but since Truth has put Morrison out of commission, does the popular one get a title shot and continue the feud everyone loves seeing?
At some point, since there are not enough faces within the company, does someone like Alberto Del Rio or The Miz make a face turn? Will we see someone come over from Smackdown and take his place as a crowd-pleaser?
Truth’s performance last night was magnified by the fact the three-hour show was brilliant, with great matches from athletes from both brands and even a visit from Rowdy Roddy Piper (who looked like he could still kick some ass). And with his popularity as a heel grows, the brand will continue to capitalize on it.
No matter whom the champion is, or how much they don’t like working with him.
