The Rock vs. John Cena and the 30 Fiercest Feuds in WWE History

Giulio RomanoJun 2, 2011

This is it!

The fuel that has kept WWE programming interesting for over 50 years!

For fans like me who have been part of this for almost three decades, we live and breath waiting for the next big, epic encounter.

Some have kept me to the edge of my seat, wishing and hoping my favorite comes out victorious. It is not always the case, but isn't that the point?

Here is a list of some of the greatest feuds WWE has ever recorded. I have added some of WCW's finest as well, since they are now part of the ever-expanding McMahon empire.

Since John Cena vs. The Rock is almost a year away, this is a chance for everyone to reconnect with some old favorites and hope the build up to WrestleMania XXVIII will match the brilliance of days past.

I hope you enjoy the ride...

Greg Valentine vs. Tito Santana: Blast from the Past

1 of 31

One early feud between two amazing athletes, and for the Intercontinental championship no less.

The two have traded the title back when it meant something very special. They had a great cage match in July of 1985 inside the confines of a steel cage. Some very intense stuff, and when it was all said and done, Tito Santana regained the title.

It was there also that Valentine destroyed the championship belt and WWE fashioned a new one.

They did battle for all the marbles from September 1984 to July of 1985, so that is quite a long time when you compare with today's standards.

At one point, Santana's knee was injured by Valentine (in storyline), and thus, the Mexican superstar was sidelined for several months.

They resumed their feud a little while after WrestleMania I for the Intercontinental championship.

Afterwards, both enjoyed a little more success, as Tito and Valentine became tag team champions with each their own partners. Valentine was part of the Dream Team alongside Brutus Beefcake, while Santana paired up with Rick Martel and called themselves Strike Force.

They are now part of the WWE Hall of Fame since 2004.

Ultimate Warrior vs. "Ravishing" Rick Rude: The Mid-Card at Its Best!

2 of 31
My first WWE Pay Per View event.
My first WWE Pay Per View event.

It was the feud that defined my early teen years. Ultimate Warrior was the most unstoppable force to wear the Intercontinental championship.

He was undefeated until he met Rick Rude for the title at WrestleMania V.

Their matches were just as amazing as the main event. Just look at the video and notice how the crowd cheers in SummerSlam when the title match is announced...when do we get that reaction nowadays for an IC/US title match?

The Warrior regained the gold then and went on to defeat Hogan the following year and become a WWE champion.

Their feud resumed shortly after and was finally settled in a steel cage match at SummerSlam 1990. The Ultimate Warrior triumphed again, but when you think about it, how many superstars really took it to him the way Rick Rude did?

Not many.

I was young then and didn't understand how it all worked, so I took it very personal, as Warrior was my guy. It offended me every time "Ravishing" Rick posed with the belt since he stole the damned thing.

We can say whatever we want about the Warrior, but when you think about it, here was a man who created a legacy by shaking ropes, beating his chest and deliver a few clotheslines. Wish I could do that.

Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Savage: The Mega-Powers Exploded

3 of 31
This man was intense! R.I.P Randy Savage.
This man was intense! R.I.P Randy Savage.

A prelude to a lifelong rivalry.

Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan are some of the pillars of this industry, and together, they shared one of those love-hate relationships.

How can you not when both are so high up on the list with personalities like that?

Those two guys are professionals, and with Savage's passing recently, it makes us realize how great a superstar he really was.

Their feud in WWE lasted for at least one year...from Royal Rumble 1989 to around March 1990, when they battled for the title the last time with world champion boxer James "Buster" Douglas as the special referee.

Savage was voted "Most hated superstar of the year" for that persona he played. Just one year before, he was the most beloved.

Their rivalry was intense like their characters were. Not a doubt in my mind as to why it will always be a classic.

Fabulous Moolah vs. Wendy Richter: The Brawl to End It All

4 of 31
I remember this moment! Damn I'm old!
I remember this moment! Damn I'm old!

You hold the title for 28 years, and then one day, POOF! It's gone!

No wonder Moolah kicked the crap out of the referee following the match...watch part two to see this...it is hilarious!

You want to see a great female superstar? Look no further than Moolah or Richter. Both are Hall of Famers and exceptional women's champions.

Sure, they don't look like today's divas, but they could easily take them out; no questions asked.

These two feuded in the 80s for the title until Richter got robbed in what was called the "Original Screwjob."

In the midst of her feud with the Fabulous One, Wendy Richter enlisted singer Cindy Lauper to aid her. You could tell Lauper loved her time in WWE, as she and Moolah shared many intense words to one another and even brawled with each other at times.

The Rock and Wrestling connection drew an immense amount of new fans to WWE, which in turn, allowed Vince McMahon to create an event of galactic proportions known as "WrestleMania."

"Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts: You Messed with My Wife!

5 of 31
Ouf!! Babycakes!
Ouf!! Babycakes!

Don't ever hit on some man's wife...especially if his name is "The Snake."

This is a time when a feud could get really nasty. Rick Rude was young and arrogant. Jake Roberts was a dangerous man in the ring. Add Cheryl Roberts in the mix, and you'd get an explosion.

Not only did Rick Rude tease Mrs. Roberts, he started wearing some tights with her face on it and shook his hips, letting "The Snake" know what his intentions were.

During their match in October of 1988, there was no mercy. Rude and Roberts took it to one another, and the "Ravishing" one got an awakening of his own after Cheryl slapped him.

Roberts ultimately redeemed the honor of his wife when rolled up Rude for the pin. This was a great time to watch the old WWF back in 88...things were a lot different then.

Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant: Propelled WWE to the Heavens

6 of 31
The prelude to one of the greatest feuds ever!
The prelude to one of the greatest feuds ever!

This video is awesome! (Sorry, Miz! Had to use it here.)

Not only was this match a dream come true, but it also delivered the all-time indoor attendance record of 93,163 in Pontiac, Michigan at WrestleMania III.

The late, great Gorilla Monsoon said it best as always: "The unstoppable force meets the immovable object."

That's what it really was. A one of a kind encounter with a feud that lasted all the way to SummerSlam 88.

During that whole time, we witnessed the end of Hogan's first reign after four years when Andre schemed with referees and Ted DiBiase to win the title.

We had another match between the two in the vacant championship tournament, and ultimately, the Mega-Powers (Hogan and Savage) taking on the Mega-Bucks (DiBiase and Andre)

Both had legendary careers, and sadly, The Giant passed away in 1993. He is the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame, and with good reason.

He truly was The Eighth Wonder of the World.

Honky Tonk Man vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage: Who Is the Greatest of All Time?

7 of 31
I loved this feud!
I loved this feud!

That was one of the highlights of 1987.

Both were the longest reigning Intercontinental Champions in history. Both had great managers. It would be just a matter of time until they'd meet to settle the issue.

It got really personal when the Honky Tonk Man started accusing Miss Elizabeth of lusting after him. Savage took it to him, and as a result, he got a guitar smashed on his head and Elizabeth got shoved aggressively.

It is also during this time Savage and Hogan began to form the Mega-Powers after the Heavyweight Champion saved him.

Even though Honky was never a great wrestler, he played his character well, and Randy Savage could bring the best out of any superstar.

We just don't see feuds and promos like that nowadays, except maybe with The Miz and CM Punk.

Tag Team Rivals: Demolition vs. Road Warriors

8 of 31
Too bad it wasn't Ax and Smash then.
Too bad it wasn't Ax and Smash then.

The face of tag team wrestling was quite different then. Demolition and The Road Warriors had changed the division forever.

Hawk and Animal are the originals, but Ax and Smash became a force on their own. Only a different promotion separated the two entities until the spring of 1990, when WWE signed The Road Warriors to a contract.

Now we could have the battle we wanted. Unfortunately for us fans, Ax was replaced with Bryan Adams, a.k.a "Crush," following some health issues. The magic of the Demolition tag team simply wasn't the same.

They went from legions of fans to being booed like never before. Too bad. They also dropped the tag team titles to the Hart Foundation in the summer, so all hopes of a great championship match between the LOD and Demolition just flew out the window.

Say what you like about who was better than who; both teams were great. Demolition was the most powerful force in tag team wrestling in WWE, while the LOD/Road Warriors rules the old NWA.

I remember a time when friends and I would play fight and we'd always be either Ax, Smash, Hawk or Animal. Those poor stuffed animals; they endured many decapitations and doomsday devices.

Who really was the best?

The Ultimate Warrior vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage: Careers on the Line

9 of 31

This was the match up that should have headlined WrestleMania VII for the WWE championship. Instead, company officials chose Slaughter against Hogan, and as a result, the event was one of the worst in history.

Randy Savage brought out the best of the Ultimate Warrior. That was my feud of the year. So amazing!

As a Warrior fan back then, I really hoped he would win his career match. He did...phew! I got something else out of it: a reunion between Macho Man and Elizabeth. Yay!

Talk about a way to start this feud, too. Savage wanted a title shot, Warrior said no way! So the Macho Man made sure someone else would have the belt and smashed Warrior's head with a scepter allowed for Slaughter to win the belt.

I was so pissed! I so wanted to have instant replay so they could annul this loss. It is funny how the referee reverses decisions when he feels like it.

I say this because The Miz should have won the WWE title from Cena twice now, but who's counting?

Back to Warrior and Savage. They also had another great battle, and that was in London, England for SummerSlam 1992. This time, it was for the title. It ended by count-out...total downer!

Watch the match between them at WrestleMania VII; I assure you it is worth it. I love how they deliver punishment to each other and still get up after every near fall. I was standing up the whole time.

Rest in peace, Randy. We will never have another one like you.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Rick "The Dragon" Steamboat: One Word: EPIC!

10 of 31
The days ring announcers were as great as superstars!
The days ring announcers were as great as superstars!

You gotta love Jesse Ventura on commentary.

It started when the Macho Man crushed The Dragon's larynx using the timekeeper's bell. It wasn't for real, but we sure believed it then.

After months of recovery, Steamboat vowed vengeance as Savage was taunting him and declared him to be finished, a has-been.

They would finally meet in March of 1987.

Their match at WrestleMania III is still one of the most talked about encounter of all time. It literally out shined the main event featuring Hogan and Andre.

It took everything to have Savage lose the title after a 414 days reign, but Steamboat did it! Not only that; he did it in front of a record crowd.

Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs. "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels: Very Personal Stuff

11 of 31
Just who is the greatest?
Just who is the greatest?

Just who is the Icon?

There is not enough time to explain everything about this intense rivalry.

We know about the "Montreal Screwjob" of 1997, and we know they hated each other back then.

They were the best of the best. Two cannot occupy the same position. In order to prove it, they gave us some of the greatest moments in WWE history.

After all they accomplished, does it really matter who was right or wrong? Not at all. On January 4, 2010, both graced us with their presence on RAW and released all that negativity from their hearts.

Now that they have made peace you wonder...could we see them together again in WWE?

The Hart Foundation Against D-Generation X

12 of 31
This is personal!
This is personal!

Absolutely loved this time in WWE...until the screwjob!

We all got over that, though...

These two groups clashing was like the Hatfields and the McCoys all over again. This was very personal stuff. Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart dragged everyone into their personal feud, even the Nation of Domination!

Bret and Shawn's characters had become so powerful that I am certain their lines were not scripted. It must have been very tense in the locker room, as superstars may have been forced to chose a side, but you see, with all that action, a new age had begun in WWE.

Things have come full circle now, as both Hart and Michaels retired and seemingly made peace last year. We owe them so much as fans of the WWE, for without them and all their friends, we might have been forced to watch WCW Nitro.

Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin: A New Era Was Beginning

13 of 31
Get ur a** down here!
Get ur a** down here!

A new "Attitude" was on the way into the WWE...and that's the bottom line! Cause I said so!

Bret Hart was always my favorite, and when friends of mine and fans started cheering for that no-good SOB (in character here), I was appalled!

Suddenly, we began to see the switch in motion for the superstars and the WWE itself. It stopped being a family-friendly environment, as we constantly witnessed everyone flipping the bird and swearing.

Not only that, Bret Hart was so frustrated he began to complain, and as a result, he gradually became a "heel."

Stone Cold cost Bret the title right before WrestleMania XIII, and their match shortly followed. They were vicious and beat each other so bad Austin was busted open, but he never gave up.

Bret Hart got his entire crew to help him, and it leaked over onto Owen Hart, who legitimately broke Austin's neck. Though it was not done purposely, it singled the eventual end of Stone Cold's career earlier than expected.

Rest assured, these two mega-superstars respect each other outside the ring, and proof of that was when Steve Austin inducted Bret Hart into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.

The Rock vs. Triple H: Attitude Era at Its Best!

14 of 31
Hmm...I like this video series...resumes it all!
Hmm...I like this video series...resumes it all!

These two icons took WWE to another level. They are still young and powerful too. Just when is their next encounter?

Since they are still alive and well, I hope it is only a matter of time before we see them in the ring.

Their feuds and promos were what made the Attitude Era exceptional to watch every week.

I personally loved their ladder match at SummerSlam 1998 in which the two battled for the IC championship.

You can't really pin point the best match because they had so many. I think they fed on each other, thus creating magical moments for us all to watch.

On one hand, you have The Rock, and on the other, you have Triple H. An intense rivalry to match the intense superstars.

The Undertaker vs. Kane: Brothers of Destruction

15 of 31
AMAZING!
AMAZING!

They just don't do great stuff like that anymore. Paul Bearer is in a league of his own.

These two are bigger than life characters. Just their promos with the pyro and explosions sends shivers down my spine.

This is far from a simple case of sibling rivalry.

You don't have to have a technical match here; just pure carnage. They have been allies and enemies for over a decade, and just recently, Kane has held the upper hand as champion, but someday...The Undertaker will rise again.

There can be only one Phenom.

Who knows what the future holds for both of these monsters?

Stone Cold vs. The Rock: They Don't Grow Them Like That Anymore!

16 of 31
LOL!!!!!
LOL!!!!!

Margueritaville? Salt shakers? Best 15 minutes I have seen in a long time!

These two are the figureheads of the Attitude Era people love so much. You cannot watch any WWE program without knowing either one or what they've accomplished.

It is a case of good friends and great enemies. They work just as well either way.

Stone Cold and The Rock have headlined three WrestleManias together with the World title on the line.

They've feuded over the Intercontinental championship as well back in 1997, so when they met on RAW recently, you could cut the tension with a knife. There was respect, but you had history there, too.

I am just a happy fan right now to be able to see them live and well again on television. For those who were too young then, take a look at some of their matches and promos...classic stuff.

Ric Flair vs. Sting: WCW in the 80s

17 of 31

Ric Flair was a six time champion then...10 reigns less than today; imagine that!

I wasn't even watching WCW then because we didn't get that here in Quebec, but I definitely heard about it and read enough pieces on their rivalry.

Ric Flair was the man back then, and Sting was like the Ultimate Warrior here in WWE, really beloved by fans. Naturally, they would have to clash someday.

They had a falling out while being part of the Four Horsemen, and as a result, met in a match for the title at the Great American Bash in July of 1990.

Sting won the title that night and held it until January 1991, dropping it to Flair in a rematch.

Great classic feud pitting the top "heel" against the top "face." Funny enough, the Warrior also dropped his WWE title in January of 1991 to the top "heel" of the moment: the treacherous Sgt. Slaughter.

For those who don't know, they are still wrestling today and still giving the fans what they want, even though they are past their prime.

Steve Borden a.k.a. Sting is 52. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair is 62.

WCW in the 90s One: Sting vs. Lex Luger

18 of 31
Madusa is a diva! Female version of a hustlah!
Madusa is a diva! Female version of a hustlah!

These two are a great example that things can change real fast in the pro-wrestling world.

From friends to foes to tag champions and adversaries again, their relationship is like a soap opera.

It is one of the few things I actually paid attention to in WCW...that and Madusa.

They were the pillars of their promotion, yesterday's Orton vs. Cena, and thus, you had to expect a feud between them.

Luger always seemed to play the better traitor, though. He was better as a "heel," I believe. I never got on the "Lex Express" anyway...too cheesy a character.

WCW in the 90s Two: NWO Is Taking Over!

19 of 31
NWO...4 life!
NWO...4 life!

To think...this was the stuff that almost got WCW to win the Monday Night Wars.

Monday Nitro was far superior to RAW back then. They have an edge that gave them the lead in the ratings.

As a natural "heel" myself, I obviously chose to side with the New World Order; they were bigger, better and badder!

Hall and Nash were in there, the Kidd, Hogan...what more could you ask for?

Not only that, they held simultaneously three championships and stole a fourth at one point...so cool!

The good guys tried to marshal their forces and failed. In the end, like all evil groups, it was from within their destruction came.

Once that whole mess with the Black/White vs. Red/Black started, you kind of knew the idea had become stale.

It almost worked though. WCW was riding high until bad booking led to their doom. WWE had Austin, Rock, Triple H and DX to lead the charge, and on March 26, 2001, Vince McMahon had bought his competition.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Diamond Dallas Page: Feud of the Year 1997

20 of 31
Another reason you don't mess with another man's wife.
Another reason you don't mess with another man's wife.

Voted PWI Feud of the year 1997 and overlooked by myself in my Savage tribute article...I won't make that mistake twice.

You had two of the best guys dishing it out to each other here. You had two beautiful women in Elizabeth and Kimberly standing by their man. In other words, a recipe for success.

Here you had an example of cases where the real life issues are brought into the light through a wrestling angle.

DDP was married to Kimberly, but nobody really knew that until Savage and Liz decided otherwise. They showed a centerfold picture of Kim and outed the couple on national television which angered Page.

Their feud lasted for a few months and was contested in a series of matches as either singles or tag team wrestlers. After watching it, I particularly liked their "Anything Goes, Lights Out" match during the Great American Bash 1997.

To win a best feud award means it really had to get nasty. Another case of not messing with people's wives...you'd think you'd learn from the past.

Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair: Icon vs. Icon

21 of 31
Simple and effective...
Simple and effective...

There are not many who can make a great promo like Ric Flair.

There were two rival companies WWE and WCW. Like a chess game, both had their king. Flair and Hogan were their names and a legacy each they created.

So many followed in their footsteps. They put pro-wrestling on the map.

The real sad part about all this is, creative writers could not capitalize on this back in 1991 when Flair arrived in WWE, and as a result, the legendary main event for WrestleMania VIII between the Hulkster and the Nature Boy never happened.

Sure, we got to see some matches in WCW and TNA, but in their glory days, it would have been a hundred times better.

In his autobiography, Ric Flair talks about real-life tensions between them, but both always managed to maintain a great working relationship. That is a true sign of a professional.

That is why they are icons.

WWE or WCW: Which One Would It Finally Be?

22 of 31
Hey Jeff! You and TNA better pay attention!
Hey Jeff! You and TNA better pay attention!

The Monday Night Wars...the golden era of pro-wrestling television. How we yearn for days like that in the 21st century.

Hey, did you hear? Ric Flair arrived in WWF! (1991)

Hey. did you hear? Hogan is in WCW! (1994)

Razor and Diesel are in WCW! (1996)

Perhaps the biggest arrival ever, unknown at the time, Steve Austin to WWF in 1996. The year war truly began.

I, for one, was never torn between the two rivals. I am WWE for life! However, it was not the case for everyone, and the ratings proved it for a long time.

Ultimately, Austin's antics, DX and their ridiculousness, along with The Rock being absolutely superb, helped McMahon win the war.

I believe a time like that forced everyone to up their game to ensure they delivered a better product.

Something like this is necessary nowadays, but in any case...long live the WWE!

Divas Action at Its Very Best: Trish Status vs. Mickie James

23 of 31
I love Mickie James...She is BEAUTIFUL!
I love Mickie James...She is BEAUTIFUL!

Another fine example how divas can be just as amazing and spectacular than any Flair, Hogan or Cena.

I loved...no LOVED!! this feud. I think the divas outdid themselves in this one. Trish is great, but Mickie James is quite an exceptional character.

Not only was she beautiful, but she got under people's skin and demonstrated how great a worker she could be by engaging in some lesbian action. Not an easy thing to do if you are straight, right, guys?

I'm sure many MEN loved this angle. I enjoyed it because all parties involved really put their effort into it.

The actual match between the two at WrestleMania XXII was so great it even had the fans cheering the nut-job Mickie James over Trish.

In the fan-made video I submitted here, you actually feel a sense of dread because of the theme music...very well done.

Now it is unfortunate they released Mickie James last year; I can't get used to watching her on TNA programs. The saddest part is, Trish Stratus made a return to WWE TV recently, and with Kharma gone for awhile, we need all the best divas we can get.

I love the divas!

John Cena vs. Edge: The Superhero and His Ultimate Supervillain Rival

24 of 31
Edge has shocked the world!
Edge has shocked the world!

I chose that video because it shows the world even the little guy can reach the top provided he uses all the tools available to him.

What I though of Edge back then is what YOU people think of The Miz today. What the hell is this guy doing in the main event scene?

You know what? Tough! Either one is main event material, period!

Because if more superstars took care of their characters like Miz and Edge do...you would have skyrocketing ratings every week.

Edge was the Kryptonite to John Cena's character. He was the evil, conniving bad guy who got away with it, and he did...he escaped with the WWE championship many times.

He even threw the belt in the water and made his Rated-R version too...that is great!

The Rated-R Superstar is headed for the Hall of Fame next year for sure. He brought something else to the game, and now that he is gone, who will be the chink in Cena's armor?

CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy: Genuine Hatred for One Another.

25 of 31

The feud between these two was one of the highlights of Smackdown back in 2009. It was cut short when Jeff Hardy decided to leave WWE to heal his broken body.

We all know by now of Hardy's drug and legal issues. Unfortunately, some people have a harder time breaking up with bad habits. Hopefully, he will get it in time, especially now that he has a child to look after.

For CM Punk, straightedge lifestyle is what it is all about. The opposite of Hardy, and they had a mutual and legit dislike for each other. You just have to follow them on Twitter for example to read comments of Punk every time something happens to the "Extreme Enigma."

I loved how all this transferred into the ring. They had a passionate feud and their matches were excellent. CM Punk is gifted and Jeff Hardy, whether you like his ring skills or not, is phenomenal!

We need dedicated superstars like them to entertain us. I make a wish now.

CM Punk re-signs soon, and Jeff Hardy recovers and comes home to WWE and brings Mickie James along with him.

Wishful thinking?

Randy Orton vs. Triple H: A Family Affair

26 of 31
The first feud I watched when I returned to WWE
The first feud I watched when I returned to WWE

This was a great feud through promos...the actual match at WrestleMania XXV was a little inferior but still fun.

I love how they played on years of hatred between the two to build this up. I remember their Evolution days and how Orton was kicked out for winning the World title.

There was a time when I put a pause on pro-wrestling, and when I returned in 2009, this was what I was welcomed to. Pretty cool timing.

This new character Randy Orton plays is great. I like "The Viper." Triple H is still massive and will always be "The Game," so for them to bring in the entire family I guess was an added bonus.

Put it this way. Orton punted the chairman of the board, RKO'ed the wife of his enemy, sealed it with a kiss and STILL has a job...you don't get more personal than that.

The word "Fierce" really applies for this one. It was vicious, intense and psychotic! I would love to see something like this right now.

Some superstars could truly benefit from an angle like that. CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, The Miz...great candidates to take it to the superCenas and Triple Hs.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton

27 of 31
Cool!
Cool!

They have been feuding for a long time, and most recently in 2009, they shared a series of title matches with it being traded back and forth.

Right now, both hold the World titles of their respective brands. Could a great champion vs. champion, undisputed title match be that far away?

I would vote for that right now!

Randy Orton really took it to John Cena during their matched. Yes Cena won another "I Quit" match, but the rematch at Hell In A Cell was crazy and Orton won that one.

They are the top guys right now, and with good reason. The characters they play are bigger than life, and though I may not be a Cena fan, I respect him and his abilities to reach out to the public.

It is a good thing they are on separate brands right now. It gives them a break from each other and allows for each to further expand the character he plays.

By the way...I love the punt Orton delivered to John Cena's father. Superman does have a weakness after all...Miz! Pay attention!

The Miz vs. John Cena: Hero vs. Anti-Hero

28 of 31
This is the way I like it! The Miz looking strong!
This is the way I like it! The Miz looking strong!

This is still fresh in everyone's mind. yet it has been two years in the making.

You have, on one hand, the great John Cena, who has legions of fans and is the face of the WWE, and on the other, the young, rash, arrogant Miz who struggles to make his place amongst the top superstars of the company.

I love The Miz. He is my favorite, said it many times, and it is because of their 2009 feud I got really into the Awesome One's character.

He was WWE Champion for many months, and if I'm not mistaken, the plan was to keep him as champion a little longer.

He brought it to John Cena exactly how I would have done it: through ruse and well-calculated assaults to bring the divine superhero to his knees.

I applaud John Cena for acknowledging The Miz and their match at WrestleMania XXVII. I think that is why he is an honorable character and person.

If you pay attention, you actually can see some resemblance between The Miz and Edge's characters. The fans are really starting to get behind him. A classic case of superstars you love to hate and hate to love.

An example of that is their match at Extreme Rules 2011. Atop the cage, did you notice how people booed Cena and cheered for The Miz? I sure did, and am so happy fans are starting to get it.

We are done with them for now. It is a good thing as I think this feud was spent.

There is talk of turning The Miz a face...I hope not too soon. A bold prediction?

The Miz wins the Royal Rumble and turns face in 2012 in time for Mania, while John Cena turns to the dark side early next year.

Mark it down everyone; you heard it here first!

***BONUS Candice Michelle vs. Melina: Cat Fight!!

29 of 31
Candice Michelle was so fat! What???
Candice Michelle was so fat! What???

These girls just played rough!

Divas action was at a high then, as Melina the Women's Champion took on her rival Candice Michelle.

Michelle had become a Playboy model, and it repulsed the Paparazzi princess. They had many exchanges backstage and on commentary, but the truth was, they had a serious dislike for each other for real.

Melina Perez is outspoken when she says she will never model for Playboy.

I actually enjoyed their fights for the championship. It was the added bonus we wanted on television. These two really played their characters well and had the personal stuff in there to fuel the animosity.

The ladies are great performers, and I'm sure you will agree but a "Bra and Panties" match is a nice way to kick off RAW; am I right?

Now Candice is gone but Melina remains, I just hope she is thrust into the spotlight again, because she truly is an exceptional performer and we need a real "heel" Divas Champion...not those damned Bellas!

The Rock vs. John Cena: The Main Event of WrestleMania XXVIII?...we Will See.

30 of 31
A year away...might NEVER happen!
A year away...might NEVER happen!

The match of the new decade has been announced for April 1, 2012. That is a long way from now. I only hope the build up for this match will be as epic as the match itself.

The Rock was the man back then, and John Cena is the man right now. Lucky for everyone, they are both young and in shape, so a timeless classic is truly in the making.

Will John Cena hold the title by then? I doubt it. Why would this match be for the championship? It is not necessary, plus, The Rock will never be back to a full time schedule.

Somehow, I feel this will be the place we will see John Cena finally turn "heel." No one in their right mind will ever cheer for him over The Rock; come on!

These powerful forces must collide unless they announce The Undertaker's last Mania match. I think that is the only thing that could prevent it.

I personally am disappointed it was announced for next year. Why not SummerSlam? Will we see The Rock in action before that time? If so, against who?

With all the faceoffs and tweets exchanged between them, they will keep this feud alive and interesting.

Will one cost the other a match? A title? How will it all unfold this year? It certainly is Must-See TV.

Here's hoping the creative team doesn't drop the ball on this one. Honestly, I don't even think they'll even have a say in this entire story, as John Cena and The Rock are super powers and need no one to tell them what to do.

So here's a toast to the greatest feud of the 2010 decade. May it be long remembered.

Well...I'm just about spent!

I've been to the far reaches of my mind to bring you the best and most fierce feuds I could think of. I am sure I might have missed a few, but that is what the comment box is for down below.

The superstars and divas of pro wrestling have a ring to settle their differences; we don't. So the next time you want to kick someone's butt for something as silly as a car scratch, think twice.

A great feud and storyline is what this whole business is built upon. Without, this we have nothing.

The performers are all superb and devoted to their fans. I thank them for all their hard work and for the great moments they provided me all these years.

I am just so happy 2011 is still young, because I sense we haven't seen anything yet.
