AC Milan to Wear New Home Kits for Final Home Game Against Cagliari
On May 14th, Milan play their final home match of the season, when they face 11th place Cagliari at the San Siro in Round 37.
By that time, AC Milan could already be champions of the Italian Serie A as they need only a point from today's match with Roma, one of only four clubs to best Milan this season, to clinch their 18th Scudetto and their first since 2004.
It would certainly be a day of celebration at the San Siro, but it is a special day for another reason as well. The Rossoneri will be wearing their new home jerseys, which will also be on display during the 2011-12 campaign.

Of course, the kits change almost every season, but the traditional red and black stripes are always constant. All that changes is the size of the stripes and the bordering.
Next season's shirt was unveiled earlier this week at a special presentation which featured midfielders Clarence Seedorf, Mark Van Bommel and fullback Luca Antonini boasting the new threads.
The new shirt slightly resembles the 2009-10 shirt, which was first worn in Paolo Maldini's final home game in May 2009. That shirt had thick black and red stripes with a white polo collar. The new shirt features about 11 red and 11 black thin stripes that cut off at the bottom, much like the jerseys dating back to around 2007, the last Champions League triumph, and features a regular collar like this year's, only it is white. There is also white around the bottom of the short sleeve jersey. No image of the long sleeve style has been revealed, but only the sleeves will be different on that.
Of course, the shirt will feature the UEFA Badge of Honor, which Milan wear proudly at every game, signifying their seven Champions League victories. Depending on the events of the next few weeks, it could also field the Scudetto patch in the center as well as the Coppa Italia circle patch as Milan are in the running for a double.
Official images of the away and third kits have yet to be released, though it's safe to say that the away will remain white and the third will be black. The home kit is available on Milan's worldwide stores with authentic customization already available. Fans looking to get the shirt, I highly recommend waiting to see if Milan can add any championship "bling" to the shirt in the coming matches.
What are your thoughts on the shirt? Is it too old-fashioned or is it a nice switch from this year's more modern-looking jersey?
