
Lakers Announce New Jersey Patch Sponsor in Photo, Latest NBA Rumors on Contract Value
The Los Angeles Lakers will be switching up a small detail on their jerseys for the 2026-27 campaign.
The Lakers announced that Albert, a personal financial assistant app, will replace Bibigo as their new jersey patch sponsor. According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, a league source said the deal will bring the Lakers an annual value north of $30 million.

The release said that the Albert jersey patch "will be featured on the upper left chest of all four Lakers uniform designs including the gold icon edition, purple statement edition, white association edition and the black city edition."
The Lakers are coming off a 53-29 campaign that earned their second straight Pacific Division title. The team defeated the Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs in five games before being swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the conference semifinals.
The 2026-27 season will mark the start of a new era for the Lakers after star forward LeBron James announced he won't return to the team. The new jersey patch is another change that will signify a turn toward the future.
