1st-Ever World Cup Championship Rings Revealed in Photos Ahead of Messi, Argentina vs. Spain

For the first time ever, the winners of the FIFA World Cup are set to be presented with championship rings to commemorate the victory.

FIFA announced the news Thursday, and BBC Sport posted a rendering of what the championship rings look like on Friday:

Per FIFA, 2,026 rings have been made, and while 30 will be presented to winning members of the 2026 World Cup championship team, the rest will be sold as an officially licensed product.

The first World Cup championship rings will be given to the winners of Sunday's final between Spain and Argentina at New York New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium) in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
