Terry Brown's AFC Wimbledon had a chance to get right against Barrow AFC on Saturday, April 2.

With one more month of regular season action remaining, every point counted as the Dons continued their push for the promotion playoffs in the Football Conference National.

“We have had a good week training this week with Christian Jolley joining the squad to compete for a place," Brown told AFCWimbledon.co.uk. "On top of that, I am faced with the nice problem on Saturday juggling three centre halfs for two spots and we will have a look at the fitness of Ismail Yakubu before making that decision."

Sammy Moore and Fraser Franks suffered long-term injuries and would be unavailable for the rest of the season. The others were at Brown's disposal.

“Sammy Hatton has looked stronger and stronger as the week has gone on while James Mulley has been running around manically working off his frustration that there are two more games to play before he is eligible to return," Brown said. "Meanwhile, Kaid Mohamed looked very impressive in training today.

“[Assistant Manager] Stuart [Cash] and I took the opportunity to watch Barrow play on Tuesday at Luton and we were very impressed by their style of play and their confidence on the ball. They kept the ball for long periods of the game and played some bright attacking football that fully earned them a point at Kenilworth Road."

The match ended in a scoreless draw.

“Barrow looked full of confidence and they certainly have plenty of experience on board," Brown said. "With several senior players in the team. They will be one of the few sides who come down to Kingsmeadow and play football and I look forward to what should be a very entertaining game.”

Brett Johnson scored in the 32nd minute and Rashid Yussuff scored in the 83rd minute to give Wimbledon a 2-0 victory over Barrow.

AFC Wimbledon continue their month of April with a couple of road games. Their next match is on Saturday, April 9 against Cambridge United. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. ET.
