2010-11 NBA Predictions: 5 Players With Something To Prove This Season
The Heat are the talk of the 2010-2011 NBA Season, and it hasn't even started yet. Let me shift the attention away from three fifths of the Eastern All Stars from 2010 and list the 5 players with something to prove this season.
These are the players who are being hyped up for this upcoming season or are looking to bounce back from injuries/struggles.
I may be a Knicks fan, but Eddy Curry will not make this list. He does have something to prove, but proving that you're not obese and can run for 3 minutes without pulling your calf muscle isn't good enough to make this list.
Everybody Do The John Wall!

John Wall better be ready to flex on the haters this season. His "John Wall Dance" has taken the country by storm, as did his play this season at Kentucky. The kid seems to have the total package. He has the explosiveness to match any player in the league and the handles and court vision to accompany it. The only thing he's missing from his game right now is a consistent jumper, but it seems to be coming along nicely.
Wall has already been deemed the Rookie of the Year before the season has started and he's going to have to live up to those expectations throughout the year. He's playing on a Wizards team that has the ability to steal a playoff spot in the East if he can play like the great hope he's made out to be.
If you're asking me for my opinion, John's going to be a stud. I do think that the Rookie of the Year will be his and that he's the best PG to come out of college in the last 10 years. That may be an overstatement, but he can play.
Forgot About Blake.

It looks like ya'll forgot about Blake.
Blake Griffin, like John Wall, was a lock to win the 2009-2010 NBA Rookie of the Year award. Too bad you have to play a game to do so. Blake was clipped by being drafted by the other L.A team.
The Clippers curse caught up with the poor kid in a preseason game last year when he broke a bone in his leg. Now a year later, Blake has been tearing it up in preseason. Still eligible for the NBA's Rookie of the Year award in 2010-2011, Blake Griffin is looking to prove to you why you should still believe in him. He's a fierce rebounder and can score the ball in the post. He should make a pretty unstoppable front court tandem with Chris Kaman as the Clippers try to be the surprise team of this year.
Have you forgot about Blake?
Entourage: Starring T-Mac.

T-Mac is the NBA version of Vincent Chase. He was a superstar early in his career just like Vince after Aquaman. But T-Mac, just like Vince, is looking to bounce back after his version of Medellin his last three years in Houston and New York.
Tracy McGrady was signed this offseason by the Detroit Pistons. After playing inconsistently in New York, the league's former best player is looking to prove that he can still contribute in the league. He's been quoted saying that if he can no longer perform at a level that satisfies him, he will retire. Well Tracy, play like you did last year or get injured again like you did basically your whole stint in Houston, and you're going to be bringing your "talents" to South Beach like LeBron James. Only you won't be playing, you'll be moving to Del Boca Vista with the Seinfelds.
Championship Or Bust

All I need to say about this man is you better win the NBA championship. If LeBron can't win his first this year then his whole entire summer and career is a joke and he will be the laughing stock of the NBA. Forming the Big 3 with buddies Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, and not winning the championship would be absurd.
If LeBron can't get by the Lakers this year and win an NBA championship, I'm sure there will be a new excuse. Whether it be an injured elbow that clearly isn't injured or Mike Miller sleeping with his mother, Gloria.
Straight up, LBJ better be holding up the NBA championship at the end of the year.
Best Of All Time

NBA 2k11 featured the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan. The man is basically considered the best by the whole entire world, but get ready for opinions to change.
If Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers can defeat the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals this season, then perhaps the Black Mamba should be on the cover of the NBA 2k series for the 2nd time. Only this time, there will be the Bryant Challenge like there was with the Jordan Challenge.
Beating the stacked Miami Heat will solidify Kobe Bryant as the best player of all time. Why? Because Jordan never had to do anything like beat 3 of the league's superstars on the same team to win one of his championships. Sure he hit buzzer beaters, but honestly, beating this team is going to be very difficult.
My opinion: Kobe gets the job done in the finals. He shows the whole entire NBA and the world that he is the G.O.A.T and that the Heat are nothing compared to #24.
