Manning is the MVP of the regular season in the NFL. But can he live up to his hype?

No chance.

Drew Brees will win this battle. Sit back and relax; I will tell you why.

Blah, blah, blah: That’s all Manning can do. Have you ever just sat down and watched him play? Have you listened to his voice? His voice is by far the most obnoxious sound on the planet Earth.

I wish this article was about Manning and how annoying he is. But unfortunately, it is not.

During the regular season, Manning averaged a QB rating of 99.9. He had 393 completions in 571 attempts, 4,500 yards, 33 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions.

But with 19 attempts on the ground, he had a total of -13 yards. Ouch, Peyton! Learn to run!

Yeah, those stats are pretty dandy, but have you seen Brees’ numbers?

Brees finished the season with a QB rating of 109.6. He tossed up 515 passes and completed 363 with a total of 4,388 yards, 34 touchdowns, and only 11 interceptions. On the ground, Brees added two more touchdowns. He had 33 yards in 22 attempts.

So, whose stats stand out? Brees’, of course.

Yes, Manning has the Super Bowl experience and multiple MVP awards.

But the Saints are hungry. This is their first Super Bowl ever, and they possess the fire in their eyes to win it all.

With the injury to Dwight Freeney, the Colts' defense will be lacking a key component. Even if he plays, he will not be 100 percent. The Saints' offensive line will do its best to focus Freeney's weight on his injured side, opening up a clear hole for Reggie Bush and a clear view downfield for Brees.

The stats show it, and the injuries add to it: Brees will win the battle of the two, although it will not be an easy task. The Colts will come to play. Manning will play his "A" game, and the defense will come to hit. The hungry Saints just need to play harder and want it more than the Colts.

The Saints need to mix up their defensive schemes. They need to run a mix of zone blitz, man coverage, two-man press, Cover 2, Cover 3, and Cover 4, and they need to show a lot of middle linebacker blitzes.

Brees and Bush will do what they need to do on the offensive side of the ball.

The team that plays well in all three necessities—offense, defense, and special teams— will win Sunday.

Prediction: Saints 38, Colts 35. Sure to be a shootout.
