Pittsburgh wrestling fans said goodbye to promoter Norm Connors (pictured at right with me and fellow announcer Anthony Kingdom James) and welcomed in a new era for the International Wrestling Cartel heading into the next decade on Dec. 12.

"A Call to Arms" was a two-night event, so first let's check the results of Friday night's action at "Prelude."

  • Johnny Gargano pinned Jimmy Jacobs
  • The Sandman pinned Jimmy Vega$
  • Super Hentai pinned Michael Facade to retain the Super Indy title
  • John McChesney pinned Ricky Reyes
  • Delirious & Daizee Haze beat the Switchblade Conspiracy (Sami Callihan & Jon Moxley)
  • Low Rider pinned Chest Flexor in a pre-show match
  • Dean Radford pinned Logan Shulo
  • Cleveland Mafia (Ray Rowe & J-Rocc) won a four-way dance over The Family (Marshall Gambino & Jimmy Demarco), Sexual Harassment (Eric Xtasy & Justin Idol), and BabyFace Fire (Shiima Xion & Jason Gory)

Now here are the results from Night 2: Full Circle.

Play-by-play announcer Joe Dombrowski introduced his longtime announcing partners, Anthony Kingdom James and Jeff Gorman, who both returned for color commentary on Norm Connors' final show.

1. Jimmy Jacobs evened the score with a win over Johnny Gargano
  - Contra Code

2. "The Franchise" Shane Douglas and The Blue World Order (Blue Meanie & Super Nova) defeated Lord Zoltan, "Handsome" Frank Stalletto & "Beef Stew" Lou Marconi in a Steel City Wrestling reunion match (Connors ran SCW from 1994-2000)
  - Meanie splash on Marconi

3. Jon Bolen defeated Raymond Rowe
  - Disqualification due to interference from the Cleveland Mafia (J-Rocc & Notorious Shane Taylor)

4. In IWC's traditional 10-man tag team match, Team Hentai (Super Hentai, Eric Xtasy, Kato, Jason Gory & Dean Radford) defeated Team Vegas (Jimmy Vega$, Justin Idol, Low Rider, Logan Shulo & Michael Facade).
  - Radford hits the Radicator (Death Valley Driver) on Low Rider
  - Earlier, Vega$ threw Hentai out of the SECOND-FLOOR BALCONY onto the other eight wrestlers in an unforgettable moment.

5. AJ Styles defeated Delirious (with Daizee Haze)
  - Styles Clash (great match)

Norm Connors came out to say goodbye, thanking the fans and wrestlers for 16 great years. The fans and wrestlers gave the love right back, chanting "thank you, Norm!"

Blue Meanie said that Norm helped him make it into ECW and later into the WWF. Shane Douglas credited Norm for building a company that doesn't make you feel like a moron after watching its shows.

Norm's final words in the ring: "I'm going to the parking lot to get drunk."

6. Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana pinned "Fabulous" John McChesney
  - Colt .45

Dennis Gregory came out not to say goodbye, but to say "see you later." Gregory is embarking on another tour of military duty in Afghanistan.

7. In a loser leaves town match, Irish Airborne (Jake & Dave Crist) beat The Gambino Brothers (Mickey & Marshall).

The Gambinos lost after hitting the Curse of the Gambino (Demolition decapitation) on their turncoat sister, Vicki. The Gambinos thanked the fans for their years of watching them wrestle.

Regular IWC color commentator J. Worthington Farnsworth stepped in for James and Gorman to call the main event with Dombrowski.

8. The main event saw Shiima Xion defend the IWC title against former friend "Deeelicious" Jimmy DeMarco. After referee Bobby Williams was knocked out, Xion's former partner, Chris Maverick, came to help, only to be neutralized by DeMarco's former partner, Vendetta.

Xion slammed Demarco's head onto the guardrail, and second referee Bryce Remsberg called for help. Other wrestlers attended to Demarco, but Xion wiped everyone out with a spectacular corkscrew plancha from the top rope to the floor.

Xion called ring announcer Chuck Roberts into the ring and demanded to be announced as the winner, since there were no more refs and Norm had left the building.

Roberts replied that the match must continue because Roberts is the NEW OWNER of IWC! Roberts officiated the rest of the match, and Demarco hit the C4 (Candy Coated Cookie Cutter) to become the new IWC champion!

The new era of IWC will begin on Jan. 30, 2010 at the Court Time Sports Center in Elizabeth, PA. The new IWC website is up right now at
