Arsenal Transfer News: Juventus Rumoured to Battle for Emil Forsberg Signature
Arsenal's interest in RB Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg has encountered some heavy competition after it emerged Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping tabs on the player.
Forsberg was linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in January and has been associated with the club again ahead of the summer, except CalcioMercato.com reported Juve are also now in on the act (h/t Sport Witness).
News of the Serie A leaders showing a fondness for the Swedish playmaker won't be welcome in north London, particularly as Forsberg is said to be "destined" to leave Leipzig at the end of the current season.

Despite struggling with injury for a time and even falling away from Leipzig's starting XI for a time, Forsberg has outlined himself as one of the club's finest provisional talents in the Bundesliga, per Squawka:
Forsberg has featured largely in a No. 10 role and on the left flank for Die Bullen, a versatility that could be welcomed at Arsenal, particularly after Alexis Sanchez's departure to Manchester United in January took a left-sided option.
The 26-year-old has a contract in Germany until the summer of 2022 but isn't desperate to move, it appears, based on comments he made in April regarding a Premier League move, per Goal's Ronan Murphy:
Leipzig midfield star Naby Keita is already set to leave the club for Liverpool this summer, and it's possible Forsberg could join the exodus following the German outfit's shoot to success in recent years.
One would imagine Forsberg might struggle to usurp Mesut Ozil's role as Arsenal's No. 10, even if he were to arrive this summer, although the club's transfer prospects will likely be impacted by whoever succeeds Arsene Wenger as manager.
The Sweden international moved to Leipzig from Malmo in January 2015, climbing his way from Germany's second tier to a target for three of Europe's biggest powerhouses in little more than three years.
Arsenal's midfield has come in for criticism of late, too, and ESPN FC's Mattias Karen scrutinised the endeavours of another Bundesliga import who hasn't impressed quite as hoped:
Juventus may seek an attacking playmaker of Forsberg's specifications after seeing success with Miralem Pjanic in a deeper-lying role, leaving them without a recognised trequartista option behind the forward line.
A somewhat quiet season could mean Forsberg's asking price makes him an attractive option, but Arsenal's chances will also rely largely on whether they seal UEFA Champions League qualification for next season.
