LeBron James Calls Game 1 vs. Raptors One of His Worst Games of Season

Scott PolacekMay 1, 2018

LeBron James notched a triple-double with 26 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds during Tuesday's 113-112 overtime victory over the Toronto Raptors in Game 1 of the Cleveland Cavaliers' second-round playoff series, but he was not impressed with his own play.

According to Sam Amico of Amico Hoops, James called the performance "one of my worst games of the season."

It wasn't all great for James, as he was a mere 12-of-30 from the field, 1-of-8 from deep and 1-of-6 from the free-throw line. He was just 3-of-15 during the fourth quarter and overtime, although he did hit two critical shots to force the additional time at the end of regulation.

The four-time MVP figures to shoot much better moving forward, which doesn't bode well for the Raptors' chances of advancing. Toronto missed a golden opportunity to win a contest on its own floor with James struggling from the field, especially since it never trailed until overtime.

Instead, the Cavaliers somehow managed to steal home-court advantage without James finding a rhythm and Toronto controlling the majority of the contest. They are now three wins away from eliminating the Raptors in the postseason for the third straight year.
