Danny Farquhar Progressing, Taking Steps in ICU After Undergoing Brain Surgery
Chicago White Sox manager Rick Renteria provided an update on pitcher Danny Farquhar on Thursday, noting he is progressing following surgery and has taken short walks in the ICU with his wife, Lexie.
The team shared Renteria's news regarding Farquhar, who suffered a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm during Friday's game.
The White Sox previously announced Monday the pitcher was "progressing well" and had regained use of his extremities and could respond to some questions.

This update comes after the White Sox revealed new clubhouse shirts in support of Farquhar:
Jon Heyman of MLB Network reported on Monday doctors were "cautiously optimistic" following Saturday's surgery.
"He's a fighter, and he's in the fight of his life right now," White Sox vice president Ken Williams said, per Bob Nightengale of USA Today. "They had to do another surgery, cracking his skull open, and putting a clamp on it. My God."
The team's Monday's update said Farquhar was still in "critical, but neurologically stable condition" and was expected to stay in the ICU for a few weeks as he recovers.
