Byron Buxton Out Indefinitely; Toe Injury Diagnosed as Hairline Fracture
Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton, who's on the disabled list while recovering from migraines, suffered a hairline fracture in his big left toe during a rehab game.
Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reported the update Saturday after Buxton underwent an MRI and added that there's no timetable for his return.
A minor hand injury in August wasn't enough to keep him out of action for long, but he was placed on the disabled list in the middle of April this season with migraines.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
There was plenty of optimism for Buxton entering this season. After the All-Star break last year, he hit .300/.347/.546 with 11 home runs, eight doubles, five triples, 13 stolen bases and 35 RBI.
He's made just 11 appearances so far this season, posting a .195 average in those games.
Losing Buxton for an extended period of time hurts Minnesota in a variety of ways. While he has yet to establish himself at the plate, his speed makes him a threat to wreak havoc on the basepaths. And he has already established himself as one of the elite defensive center fielders in the game.
So Buxton provides plenty of value to Minnesota even when he's not hitting. Max Kepler should continue to get most of the starts in center for the time being.
