Bennie Fowler, Bears Reportedly Agree to Contract; Spent 4 Years with Broncos
The Chicago Bears and free-agent wide receiver Bennie Fowler reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year deal Friday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Fowler, 26, spent the last four seasons with the Denver Broncos. In 45 games, he tallied 56 receptions for 698 yards and five touchdowns.
Last year, the Michigan State product registered career highs in receptions (29), receiving yards (350) and touchdowns (three) while playing 51 percent of the team's offensive snaps.

Fowler also logged 227 snaps on special teams, which ranked fifth among all Broncos players a year ago.
The slot speedster will now join a retooled Bears receiving corps that features Allen Robinson, Kevin White, Taylor Gabriel and tight end Trey Burton.
Thanks to a flurry of free-agent activity, the Bears are positioned to make a sizable developmental leap during Mitchell Trubisky's second season after they ranked 29th in scoring last year.
