John Wall Has No Minute Restriction in Knee Injury Return, Scott Brooks Says
Washington Wizards head coach Scott Brooks said point guard John Wall will not have a minute restriction in his first game back from a knee injury when the Wiz host the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday, according to Michael Lee of Yahoo Sports.
Wall hasn't played since Jan. 25 after he underwent an arthroscopic debridement procedure on his left knee.
Saturday's return will mark the end of a 27-game absence for Wall.
During that time, Washington posted a 15-12 record, however, it has dropped four of its past five contests.
The 27-year-old Wall is a five-time All-Star who was enjoying another productive season prior to his knee ailment.
In 37 games, Wall was averaging 19.4 points, 9.3 assists and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 41.7 percent from the field and a career-best 35.8 percent from three-point range.
Tomas Satoransky has filled in for Wall during his absence but will return to the bench, as the latter will regain his starting job alongside Bradley Beal on Saturday.
