Kevin Durant Ejected for 5th Time This Season After Arguing Non-Call vs. Bucks
Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant was ejected in the second quarter of Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks after arguing with a referee over a non-call.
According to ESPN.com's Nick Friedell, Durant was angry the officials didn't whistle for a foul while he was driving to the basket. The referee assessed Durant one technical foul at first but added a second after he continued to argue.
The nine-time All-Star now has five ejections this season, which leads the league. The Athletic's Anthony Slater noted that number is a major outlier compared to years past:
Durant's early departure exacerbated how short-handed Golden State was entering the game. Stephen Curry remains out with a sprained MCL, while Klay Thompson continues to recover from his fractured right thumb. Durant had just returned from a five-game absence with a rib injury.
