WWE WrestleMania 34: Top Picks to Win Men's and Women's Battle Royals
WrestleMania has always been the biggest night on WWE's pay-per-view schedule, and this year's event on April 8 may feature more Superstars than ever before.
The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal has been going strong for a few years, so management decided it was time to give the women's division its own WrestleMania Battle Royal.
This means we will have two title matches, a mixed tag bout and a multi-person Battle Royal for a total of four matches featuring the Superstars of the women's division.
The winners of both contests may not get title shots out of the deal, but a victory could lead to a push in the post-WrestleMania season.
This article will look at the top picks to win both the men's and women's Battle Royals at WrestleMania 34.
Tye Dillinger
1 of 7Tye Dillinger spent a lot of time in NXT before he was called up to the main roster last year. It felt like he was finally going to be rewarded for years of toiling, but it hasn't worked out that way.
Perfect 10 picked up some early wins on SmackDown Live, but then he disappeared altogether. You can count how many times he has appeared on television in 2018 on one hand.
The crowd loves him, and he has proved his worth inside the ring multiple times. There is no reason why he shouldn't be given a second chance.
The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal would be a great way to renew his push and put Dillinger back on the winning path.
In fact, WWE may be purposely keeping him off TV so a win in this match is a bigger surprise when it happens.
Becky Lynch
2 of 7When WWE went back to having separate rosters for Raw and SmackDown, Becky Lynch seemed like the chosen one to lead the women's division on the blue brand.
She became the first SmackDown women's champion and held on to the title for three months until Alexa Bliss defeated her at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2016.
Since then, WWE has struggled to find a way to use Lynch, and once Charlotte Flair was drafted to Tuesday nights in April 2017, it became all about The Queen.
The Lass Kicker has remained popular with the WWE Universe despite poor booking, but it looks like management is beginning to build her back up.
She has won most of her recent matches, dispatched the entire Riott Squad by herself and won a fan vote to fill in for Charlotte during the Mixed Match Challenge.
Lynch is the only Four Horsewoman without her own storyline heading into The Showcase of the Immortals. Having her win the first WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal at the event would help put her back on the right track.
Baron Corbin
3 of 7Baron Corbin seemed like he was on the express train to the top after winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2016.
He had a reign as United States champion, earned a few chances to challenge for the WWE Championship and even won the 2017 men's Money in the Bank ladder match. But his star fell after he failed to capitalize on his consequent impromptu title match in August.
The Lone Wolf is a great athlete and a natural antagonist. It's easy to boo someone who acts superior to everyone else, especially when that person can usually back up their claims.
Winning the Andre the Giant Trophy for the second time would not only give Corbin bragging rights over every WWE Superstar, but it would position him to start rebuilding himself in 2018.
Ruby Riott
4 of 7When Absolution debuted on Raw, Paige's reputation and accomplishments helped give the group legitimacy. Unfortunately, The Riott Squad did not have the same luxury.
Even with Paige serving as more of a manager, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose have still managed to rack up some impressive wins.
Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan were known to NXT aficionados, but the greater WWE Universe didn't know what to think of the three unknowns.
They have slowly built up momentum since their debut in November, and Riott gave Charlotte a great match for the women's title at Fastlane. It's time to take the next step in building the group.
Since The Queen and Asuka will contest the Women's Championship at WrestleMania, The Riott Squad needs a way to stand out, and the Women's Battle Royal would be the best place for that.
Having Riott be the first Superstar to be victorious in the match would not only help build the entire group but would also be a surprising outcome many fans would appreciate.
Dolph Ziggler
5 of 7Dolph Ziggler has had a strange year. He turned heel, won the United States Championship, vacated the title to take a hiatus and returned at the Royal Rumble without WWE having a solid plan in place.
He has been playing the frustrated Superstar with a chip on his shoulder, but if WWE doesn't put him over once in a while, it's going to be hard to take him seriously as a threat to anyone.
Ziggler is one of WWE's most established veterans. He has been on the main roster for 12 years, won the world, intercontinental, U.S. and tag team titles, successfully cashed in Money in the Bank and stolen the show countless times.
Despite coming up short at Fastlane in the WWE Championship Six-Pack Challenge, Ziggler has slowly started to build up a head of steam.
He has picked up a few wins and has been one of the more vocal Superstars about wanting to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Having him add the trophy to his already impressive list of accomplishments would be the best way for him to get back into the hunt for the WWE title.
Mickie James
6 of 7Mickie James brought a lot of experience and fan support with her when she returned to WWE last year, but the company has failed to use her properly since she arrived back on the scene.
Her first storyline involved her helping Alexa Bliss on SmackDown Live for unknown reasons, but she returned to her babyface ways when Little Miss Bliss went to Raw.
James soon followed and ended up spending months being used as little more than an enhancement talent before realigning with Bliss.
The six-time women's champion deserves to be more than backup for someone who has only been on the main roster for a couple of years.
WWE has done a great job rebuilding the women's division over the past few years, and James is one of the only females you could consider a veteran on the roster. She deserves a big moment, and winning the first WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal would suffice.
Dark-Horse Pick: Johnny Gargano
7 of 7This is a dark-horse pick, especially since he isn't even on the main roster, but Johnny Gargano is someone you should keep your eye on during WrestleMania weekend.
He is preparing to face Tommaso Ciampa at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, and the stipulation states he will be banned from NXT if he loses. Should that happen, a debut during the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal could be in the cards.
Johnny Wrestling is the kind of Superstar who only comes along once a generation. His skill is one part of what makes him so special, but the reason people cheer for him is he is just as passionate as the fans.
When Gargano is booked on the card, you are guaranteed to see at least one great match. Should WWE decide to call him up right after TakeOver, a win at WrestleMania would immediately set him on the path to success.
Which Superstars do you think will win the Women's and Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royals?
