Jacoby Brissett Trade Rumors: Colts Turned Down 2 Offers for QB
The Indianapolis Colts rebuffed two teams that asked about the availability of quarterback Jacoby Brissett, the Indianapolis Star's Stephen Holder reported Monday.
Brissett threw for 3,098 yards, 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions for the Colts in 2017 after Indianapolis acquired him from the New England Patriots.
Unless the team received an offer that was so overwhelmingly one-sided, there's little reason for the Colts to trade Brissett, even with Andrew Luck set to return in 2018.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Colts general manager Chris Ballard told 1070 The Fan (h/t the Indianapolis Star's Zak Keefer) earlier this month Luck will participate in team workouts starting April 9—albeit on a limited basis right away. Assuming he's healthy, Luck will be Indianapolis' starting quarterback when the regular season kicks off.
With as long as Luck's recovery has been, the Colts can't afford to assume everything will go according to plan this offseason, though. Perhaps Luck aggravates his shoulder injury during the season and has to miss time.
The Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles illustrated the importance of having a solid contingency plan. They didn't miss a beat after Carson Wentz's season-ending knee injury, and Nick Foles led them to a title.
That's why having Brissett is such a luxury for Indianapolis. He showed last year the Colts can rely on him as a starter, and he's going to make a little over $1.6 million between 2018 and 2019, which is a bargain for a backup quarterback.
