Brady was not the reason the Pats came up short against the Eagles. He completed 28 of his 48 throws for a Super Bowl-record 505 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Alas, New England's defense gave up 538 yards and allowed nine points over the game's final three minutes as Nick Foles and Philly stormed back for the upset victory.
"They're all pretty disappointing," Brady told reporters after the loss. "I mean, losing sucks. But you show up and you try to win and sometimes you lose and that's the way it goes."
While Maria Pasquini and Charlotte Triggs of People reported he's been urged to retire by wife Gisele Bundchen, with whom he has two children—he also has a child with former girlfriend Bridget Moynahan—he's shown no signs of urgency to walk away.
"I don't see why I wouldn't be back," Brady said after the Super Bowl.
