Teddy Bridgewater on Being a Starting QB in 2018: 'Definitely. No Question.'
Teddy Bridgewater expects to be a starting quarterback somewhere next season.
When asked Monday if he sees himself as a starter in 2018, the Minnesota Vikings player responded, "Definitely. No question," per Dane Mizutani of the Pioneer Press.
Bridgewater is set to enter free agency this offseason but hasn't started a game in two years while recovering from a knee injury he suffered prior to the 2016 campaign.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The 25-year-old returned to practice in October and finally saw game action during a Week 15 blowout over the Cincinnati Bengals, finishing 0-of-2 passing with an interception. He was inactive during the team's playoff games when Sam Bradford returned from his injury.
Case Keenum surprisingly became QB1 this season and was 11-3 as a starter, but questions still remain about whether he can be a long-term option at the position. His struggles in the 38-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field only amplified those concerns.
Minnesota will have some tough choices to make this offseason, with Bradford, Bridgewater and Keenum all set for free agency.
Based on the latest quotes, it seems Bridgewater only plans to return if he has a chance to regain his starting role. Otherwise, he would likely move on to another organization where there is an opening for playing time.
The 2014 first-round pick started 12 games as a rookie and all 16 games in his second season, leading the team to an 11-5 record in 2015. He earned a Pro Bowl selection that year after producing an 88.7 quarterback rating.
Unfortunately, injuries have since derailed his career, and it's difficult to know what to expect from him going forward.
