Reds' Joey Votto Gives 6-Year-Old Fan Bat and Jersey After Hitting Home Run
Joey Votto turned a relatively inconsequential Thursday matinee between the Cincinnati Reds and New York Mets into an unforgettable moment for one young fan.
In the seventh inning, Cincinnati's star first baseman crushed his 34th home run of the season. He celebrated by high-fiving Walter Herbert, nicknamed Superbubz, through the protective netting and giving the six-year-old his bat.
