Keith Marshall Reportedly out for Season with Torn Patella Tendon
Washington Redskins running back Keith Marshall suffered a torn right patella tendon during practice Saturday and will miss the 2017 season, ESPN.com's John Keim reported Sunday.
A seventh-round draft pick out of Georgia in 2016, Marshall missed his entire rookie season with an elbow injury.
Marshall also struggled to stay healthy during his time with the Bulldogs. He played just eight games total in the 2013 and 2014 seasons, though he appeared in 14 in 2012 and 11 in 2015. He left Georgia having run for 1,379 yards and 12 touchdowns in 33 games over four seasons.

Marshall made a big impression at the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine, running the fastest 40-yard dash (4.31 seconds) by a running back.
Washington head coach Jay Gruden seemingly hinted Marshall was poised for big things in 2017, telling reporters Saturday that "people are sleeping on him a little bit," per the Washington Times' Nora Princiotti.
The Washington Post's Mike Jones tweeted Sunday, however, that Marshall may have struggled to make the team's final roster. In addition to Rob Kelley, Matt Jones and Chris Thompson, Marshall was competing with Samaje Perine, a fourth-round pick in the 2017 draft.
