Keith Marshall Carted Off Field with Apparent Knee Injury at Redskins Camp
Washington Redskins running back Keith Marshall was carted off the field at training camp Saturday after he suffered an apparent right knee injury, according to the Associated Press' Stephen Whyno.
A 2016 seventh-round pick, Marshall has been plagued by injuries throughout his career.
Prior to missing all of last season with UCL damage in his elbow, Marshall suffered a torn ACL with the Georgia Bulldogs in October 2013.

"It was frustrating, not so much because of my history but I feel like that was a game where coach was giving us opportunities to go out there and prove ourselves," Marshall said of the elbow injury in April, according to Redskins.com's Stephen Czarda. "I think I was playing with the ones at that point, so it was a good opportunity to showcase myself but I got hurt."
Marshall's 4.31-second 40-yard dash speed figured to put him in the mix for a change-of-pace role in the Redskins backfield entering training camp.
However, a roster spot was no guarantee considering Washington already has Rob Kelley, rookie Samaje Perine and pass-catching specialist Chris Thompson in tow ready to command touches.
If Marshall's injury proves serious enough that it prevents him from taking consistent reps in training camp, it's difficult to envision him cracking the 53-man roster come September.
