Alex Boone Says Packers Will Play in Super Bowl 'Over My Dead F--king Body'

When asked about the possibility of the Green Bay Packers playing in Super Bowl LII at the Minnesota Vikings' home venue of U.S. Bank Stadium this season, Vikes guard Alex Boone made it clear Friday that he doesn't intend to let that happen.

According to Matthew Coller of 1500 ESPN Twin Cities, Boone responded, "Over my dead f--king body," in reference to the Pack representing the NFC in the biggest game of the year.

Boone's words came after Packers president Mark Murphy said, "It's going to be a lot of fun for all of our fans to drive across the state for the Super Bowl," in reference to Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis, per ESPN.com's Rob Demovsky.

The Packers came within one win of reaching the Super Bowl last season but fell to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship Game.

Although Green Bay has made eight consecutive trips to the playoffs, it hasn't reached the Super Bowl since beating the Pittsburgh Steelers to conclude the 2010 campaign.

As for the Vikings, their last Super Bowl appearance came way back in the 1976 season.

Minnesota missed the playoffs last season, but it went 1-1 against the Packers and has represented a tough matchup in recent years due to its defense.

Boone's determination is clear, but there is little he can do personally about the fact the Packers boast arguably the best quarterback in the game in Aaron Rodgers.
