Michael Irvin Will Not Face Charges for Alleged Sexual Assault in Florida
The Broward County State Attorney's Office in South Florida announced Monday that Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin will not face sexual assault charges stemming from a March allegation, according to Drew Davison of the Star-Telegram.
Per TMZ, a 27-year-old woman filed a police report in March and alleged that Irvin sexually assaulted her at a Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, hotel.
The woman told police she feared she was drugged and raped, but Irvin denied the allegations and said he had no sexual contact with the woman. Irvin said he was only in the room for 15 minutes prior to leaving in order to catch a flight.

Irvin's lawyer, Ken Padowitz, said Irvin and the woman knew each other prior to the allegation and added, "This person was treated like a member of the [Irvin] family."
The 51-year-old Irvin played 12 NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, registering 750 receptions for 11,904 yards and 65 touchdowns.
He was named to the Pro Bowl on five occasions and won three Super Bowl titles.
