Dan Orlovsky, Rams Reportedly Agree to 1-Year Contract
The Los Angeles Rams and free-agent quarterback Dan Orlovsky have reached an agreement on a one-year contract.
Orlovsky confirmed his signing to Jason Romano of Sports Spectrum on Thursday.
"As I get older, every season is so special, and important, and so with that, I am incredibly excited," he said. "I was ready months ago, and I am still now. But what I am more excited about is that these seven months made me realize, as MercyMe says, 'even if' God hadn't opened this football door again, He was still God. He was still in control, and He was going to place me exactly where He wanted. And in that, I had peace, I had patience, I had trust. God is good, God is faithful. Even if football didn't come back."

Offseason Moves for Every Team ๐
Orlovsky has been a career backup since the Detroit Lions selected him in the fifth round of the 2005 NFL draft. He's also made stops with the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and, most recently, had a second stint with the Lions.
The 33-year-old University of Connecticut has appeared in just 27 games, including 12 starts, during his 12-year career. He owns a 75.3 passer rating with 15 passing touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Orlovsky didn't play any games last year as a backup to Detroit starter Matthew Stafford.
In Los Angeles, he'll likely compete with Sean Mannion to serve as the chief reserve behind Jared Goff, last year's first overall pick. His experience should also be a valuable resource as the Rams' second-year QB tries to turn a corner after a rocky debut campaign.
The team is set to open training camp next week, with veterans due to report on July 28.
