Los Angeles Lakers 103, Philadelphia 76ers 102

Following a one-game absence due to a groin injury, No. 2 overall pick Lonzo Ball erupted for 36 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds and five steals as the Los Angeles Lakers secured a last-second win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Ball's defining moment came with 21.2 seconds remaining in regulation, when he bullied his way to the bucket in isolation and converted a tough and-1 bucket to put the Lakers up by a point, as NBA TV documented on Twitter:
Not to be overlooked was Ivica Zubac, who played his finest game on the Vegas circuit this year with 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting.
Furkan Korkmaz led all Sixers scorers with 19 points, while big man Alex Poythress continued to make his case for a two-way contract by piling up 16 points and five boards in 21 minutes.
The Lakers will clash with the Cleveland Cavaliers Thursday as the two sides vie for a spot in the quarterfinals.
Portland Trail Blazers 88, Chicago Bulls 77
Five double-figure scorers paced the Portland Trail Blazers as they breezed past the Chicago Bulls Wednesday night to set up a date with the top-seeded Toronto Raptors on Thursday.
Jake Layman paced Portland with a team-high 22 points (8-of-18 shooting), while Jarnell Stokes double-doubled with 16 points and 17 rebounds against a thin Bulls frontcourt.
Former Purdue standout Caleb Swanigan also got in on the action with 13 points and nine boards.
Antonio Blakeney did the heavy lifting for Chicago to the tune of a game-high 27 points (7-of-17 shooting) and 11 rebounds.
Sacramento Kings 69, Milwaukee Bucks 65

The Sacramento Kings rode the production of two young bigs to a narrow four-point victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Skal Labissiere (19 points, nine rebounds) and Georgios Papagiannis (17 points, 13 rebounds) stole the show for Sacramento in the win, as they pounded the paint and provided reliable sources of offense on a night when the Kings were without De'Aaron Fox (ankle) and Buddy Hield.
JaKarr Sampson added nine points and seven boards, including a vicious dunk in semi-transition during the second quarter, as the NBA G League showed on Twitter:
For the Bucks, Rashad Vaughn and Sterling Brown scored 12 points apiece on a night when the team shot a collective 32.1 percent from the floor.
Sacramento will be back in action Thursday against No. 9 overall pick Dennis Smith Jr. and the Dallas Mavericks.
Phoenix Suns 97, Utah Jazz 81

The Phoenix Suns kept their stay in the winner's bracket alive with a 97-81 win over the Utah Jazz.
No. 4 overall pick Josh Jackson shined in the triumph with a game-high 21 points in 32 minutes, and he added 15 rebounds and a pair of blocks to his final line.
The NBA's official Twitter account relayed highlights of his first-half performance:
Dragan Bender and Marquese Chriss also impressed with 18 and 13 points, respectively, on a night when the Suns shot 52.2 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from three.
Eric Griffin topped all Jazz scorers with 18 points, 10 boards and four blocks.
Next up for the Suns are the fourth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday.
Golden State Warriors 77, Minnesota Timberwolves 69

Patrick McCaw continued his dominance over the summer league, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 77-69 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The second-year player finished with 26 points and five assists, including this crafty steal and finish, per the Warriors:
C.J. Williams (19 points) led the way for the Timberwolves, while Marcus Paige provided one of the few highlights for the squad in a relatively lackluster performance:
The Warriors will next face the Boston Celtics on Thursday.
Miami Heat 89, Washington Wizards 88

The Miami Heat won a barnburner on Wednesday night, escaping with an 89-88 win over the Washington Wizards.
Justin Robinson (19 points) and Lamond Murray Jr. (17 points, five rebounds) came off the bench and led the way for the Heat. But excellent ball movement also led to the game's winning basket, per NBA TV:
That spoiled a balanced performance from the Wizards that featured five players in double-digit scoring, led by Marcus Keene (18 points). Keene buried a big bucket from the corner, though it ultimately wasn't enough for the Wizards.
Up next for the Heat will be a matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
Denver Nuggets 87, Houston Rockets 81

Torrey Craig had a huge evening for the Denver Nuggets, pacing the team with 27 points in Denver's 87-81 win over the Houston Rockets.
Craig dominated in all facets of the game, adding 11 rebounds and three blocks. The Nuggets also showed off some fantastic transition defense in the contest:
Troy Williams (20 points, four steals) and Chris Johnson (20 points, seven rebounds) led the Rockets but weren't quite able to carry them to victory, meanwhile.
Up next for Denver will be a matchup against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday.
New Orleans Pelicans 105, Atlanta Hawks 95

The New Orleans Pelicans spoiled a monster performance from John Collins on Wednesday evening, advancing to the second round of bracket play with a 105-95 victory over Atlanta.
Quinn Cook (26 points, seven assists), Cheick Diallo (21 points, eight rebounds) and Jalen Jones (21 points) were all superb for the Pelicans in the win.
NBA TV shared some of Cook's highlights from the victory:
Collins did all he could to lead the Hawks, meanwhile, posting 25 points, nine rebounds and a block. He also had one of the most impressive dunks of the entire summer league:
Taurean Prince added 18 points for the Hawks. It wasn't enough to knock off the Pelicans, however, who will now face the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday.
