Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Yannick Carrasco and Alexis Sanchez
Atletico Madrid attacker Yannick Carrasco is being lined up to replace Alexis Sanchez if the Chile superstar exits Arsenal.
According to Calciomercato (h/t AS), if Bayern Munich can successfully tempt Sanchez to move to the Bundesliga, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger wants Carrasco to replace his top forward.
The Atleti player could be purchased as a like-for-like replacement, providing pace and goals from a number of attacking roles.

Bayern are also interested in the Belgian attacker, but if they sign Sanchez, it will open the door for Wenger, per Calciomercato.
According to Mark Brus of Metro, the futures of Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Hector Bellerin are in doubt, forcing Arsenal to assess their options in the transfer market.
The 23-year-old Belgium international scored 12 goals for Atletico in La Liga and Europe last term, according to WhoScored.com. Carrasco is a burgeoning talent but does not quite provide the same threat as Sanchez in terms of numbers.
However, his flexibility makes him the type of player Wenger craves, and his style would be well suited to the Premier League.
Here is Carrasco in action:
Despite the latest rumours, journalist Christian Falk said Serge Gnabry's arrival at Bayern will end their interest in Sanchez:
Arsenal suffered misery last term as they ended their campaign in fifth spot in England, forcing them out of their usual UEFA Champions League place.
This fact could see them miss out on their top targets and could convince Sanchez his career lies elsewhere.
According to The Independent's Miguel Delaney, Manchester City are expected to bid £50 million for the forward, who has only a year left on his Arsenal contract.

As time ticks on the Chilean's current deal, more suitors will undoubtedly test Wenger's resolve to hold onto his prime asset.
Carrasco would provide building material for the Gunners as they hope to force their way back into England's top-four. However, it is questionable whether he has the firepower to replace Sanchez at the point of the attack.
