
Dustin Pedroia Activated from 10-Day DL After Hand Injury
Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia is back in the team's starting lineup after being activated from the 10-day disabled list due to a hand injury on Friday.
The Red Sox officially announced Pedroia's return to the 25-man roster.
Pedroia was placed on the disabled list May 30 after landing on his wrist following a collision with Chicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu as he was trying to beat out an infield single the previous day.

MLB.com's Ian Browne reported the MRI on Pedroia's wrist showed no structural or ligament damage. Friday's game against the Detroit Tigers marked the first day he was eligible to return off the DL.
The 2008 American League MVP is hitting .292/.369/.380 with nine doubles and two home runs in 45 games this season.
The Red Sox enter Friday's game with the Tigers in second place in the American League East, trailing the New York Yankees by three games.
