Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles and Dream WWE Matches Fans Deserve
WWE fans are finally getting a dream match of epic proportions on June 18 when Brock Lesnar battles Samoa Joe. The Beast Incarnate's Universal Championship will be on the line at Money in the Bank in a match that's now become personal thanks to Joe's attack on Paul Heyman.
It's a situation that many fans believed they would never see, and now it's actually happening.
But it's not the only dream match that's been on the fans' fantasy list. There are many others there, including some that have happened as well as some that can never happen. The Rock vs. John Cena is an example of a dream match that happened not only once but twice.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Unfortunately though a dream match like The Undertaker vs. Sting never did take place. It's likely too late now, due to both men retiring from the ring. Though many fans would surely still love to see that showdown happen, it's probably much too late to make it a reality.
Then there are some matches that could happen but just haven't—at least not yet.
These are the matches that fans are holding out hope for, the ones that would become instant classics. These matches would build legends and provide moments that WWE fans would surely never forget.
It's not just about booking matches for the sake of booking them. It's about giving fans the dream matches they deserve.
Charlotte Flair vs. Trish Stratus

From the moment Charlotte Flair came to the main roster, fans have been comparing her to Trish Stratus.
It's not necessarily because of any real similarities between the two Superstars. They're obviously very different physically, and their ring styles are not very comparable to each other either. The reason the two have been mentioned in the same breath together is because of the paths they've blazed individually.
Had it not been for Trish Stratus, women's wrestling in WWE may have never resurfaced at all.
Thanks to her efforts, however, women's wrestling did not die. Trish brought an energy, a charisma and a desire to be the best that fans had not really seen from a female Superstar before. In a division full of ridiculous matches and silly gimmicks, Trish stood out as a true competitor.

Because of the work that she, Lita and several other women at the time did, the division survived. While it wasn't always an easy road, fans never forgot about Trish and what she meant to the world of women's wrestling in WWE.
For today's generation of fans, the same can be said of Charlotte Flair.
Charlotte, along with Sasha Banks and several others, resurrected women's wrestling for a new era. It's because of their work that the next wave of female Superstars have been empowered to climb the ladder of success in WWE.
But what if the past met the present?
Trish is still in tremendous shape, she's stayed connected to the industry, and she may be persuaded to do business for one last run. If that does indeed happen, then Charlotte is the perfect opponent for her. It's a match that fans would surely love to see—and one that would make history in WWE.
Finn Balor vs. Triple H

This one may not be on the short list of dream matches, but it should be.
This match is perfect in so many ways, not the least of which is the fact that if it happens, Balor becomes a made man. That's something that his fans would certainly love to see. He's proved he can handle himself in the top spot in NXT; the same would surely be true of the main roster.
But the only way he would get there is by going through The Game first.
Hunter did the job for Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns, both of whom went on to become world champion. Thanks to The Game's endorsement, two guys were created and blessed from the very top of WWE.
The same was true for Seth Rollins, who still continues to ride the momentum from beating Triple H at WrestleMania 33. But when is Balor's time coming?

Monday Night Raw currently features three top babyfaces, and they're all former Shield members. Chris Jericho is gone again, and Samoa Joe is on his way to becoming the top heel of Raw. That leaves Balor out of the equation and in great need of a new direction.
That's where Hunter could come into play. Besides The Game's ability to get Balor over as a main event star, there's also more in common for them from a creative standpoint. Triple H was partly responsible for the creation of D-Generation X, one of the most influential factions of all time.
It was so influential that The Bullet Club rose from its ashes. Balor was the man behind the group, which adopted much of their behavior from DX.
Then there's the similarity between them due to their shared philosophy on the business. Balor is portrayed as a babyface, but he has more of an edge than he's really shown so far. It's that edge that he could bring to a feud with Triple H because Balor believes in leaving it all in the ring. He knows that he will only look good by making his opponent look good, and he does so with an old-school mindset.
Triple H made his career with that mantra in mind. He's more like Balor than fans perhaps ever realized.
One high-profile feud with Triple H could be exactly what Balor needs to reach the next level. If it happens, then Balor would become even bigger than he is now.
Daniel Bryan vs. Kurt Angle

If Daniel Bryan had his way, this match likely would have happened a long time ago.
WWE is preventing that from happening of course, as Bryan will not be given medical clearance to compete in Vince McMahon's ring. But if the day comes when that changes, then Bryan vs. Angle could become a reality.
The timing is perfect from a storyline perspective because of the general manager roles. Kurt Angle is the Raw GM and Bryan is the SmackDown Live GM. There is a healthy competition between both programs, so it wouldn't be impossible to imagine heat being generated between Angle and Bryan.
It would be the perfect matchup, and fans would surely love to see it happen.

Intensity is the "I" that would definitely be incorporated into this one. Neither man has a slow gear when it comes to getting it done in the ring, and that would be the case if they worked together. They would enter the ring with the sole thought of making the other man look good.
They would also enter with the common mission of delivering the best match of the night.
Fans would certainly love to see it, just as Bryan and Angle would surely love to give it to them. But the only question is will WWE book it?
Bryan must be healthy, and if there's a way to medically clear him to compete, then it should be done. This is one dream match that would likely never be forgotten, and it would be bigger than anything WWE can deliver right now.
Brock Lesnar vs. AJ Styles

While fans are anticipating Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar, they shouldn't forget about AJ Styles.
Styles may not seem like the perfect choice to face The Beast Incarnate, but that dream match would not really be about a physical comparison. It would be about two legends of the business getting in the ring and having an old-fashioned fight.
AJ doesn't look like the stereotypical hard-nosed fighter, but that's exactly what he is.
Styles is indeed a tough guy, and he can take as much as he gives. He may possess natural ability when it comes to his aerial game, but that does not define him as a wrestler. When it comes to his ground game, Styles can go old-school with the best of them.
No one is more old-school than Lesnar.

Lesnar steps into the ring and destroys. That's what he does and no one does it better than him. There's very little finesse, there's not much style, there's only sheer hatred and startling carnage. Lesnar is the definition of what an old-school heel should be.
Styles would be underestimated. He would not be given a chance by critics that believe Lesnar would immediately put him out of commission. But the longer the match, the more AJ would have the advantage.
AJ can work any style, and he can do it while never sacrificing who he is as a performer.
He would give Lesnar all he could handle and then some. Fans would be treated to a highly physical contest, with one intense moment after another. Anything's possible in WWE and that means this match has a great chance of happening.
