Richard Jefferson Says Cavaliers Don't Need to Change Game Plan to Win Game 2
With his team coming off a 113-91 loss to the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Cleveland Cavaliers forward Richard Jefferson doesn't think the squad needs to make any changes for a better result in Sunday's Game 2.
Per Sports Illustrated, Jefferson explained to reporters the Cavs' mindset heading into the series' second contest:
Jefferson also said the Cavs were "not going to make too many adjustments," per Anthony Slater of the Mercury News.
Among the many things that went wrong for the Cavaliers in Game 1 were their 20 turnovers, which marked a playoff high and helped the Warriors attempt 20 more shots (106 to the Cavs' 86). The starters other than LeBron James and Kyrie Irving combined to make five shots on 20 attempts, including Kevin Love's 4-of-13 effort.
The good news for Cleveland is it lost the first two games of last year's Finals—including a 110-77 drubbing in Game 2—and came back in the seven-game series to win the franchise's first championship.
