
49ers to Bid on Rights to Host Super Bowl 57, 58
The San Francisco 49ers plan to bid on the rights to host Super Bowl 57 or 58 this fall, according to the Bay Area News Group's Cam Inman.
Team president Al Guido said the 49ers plan to "enhance" their bid by outlining new development around Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Levi's Stadium—which opened in July 2014—previously& played host to Super Bowl 50 between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos.

Now the 49ers will eye the nearest open Super Bowl date for their new stadium after the league had to shuffle some dates around at the start of the next decade.
Although Los Angeles was tentatively awarded host rights for Super Bowl 55, the NFL had to push those plans back a year since the future home of the L.A. Rams and L.A. Chargers won't be completed until 2020, according to the Los Angeles Times' Sam Farmer.
Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, was subsequently pegged as the new host for Super Bowl 55 in February 2021.
