Battle is considered the No. 41 wide receiver and the No. 224 player overall in the class of 2018, per Scout.com.

According to Scout, Battle had offers from several other high-profile programs as well, including Ole Miss, LSU, Michigan State, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

He was excellent in his junior season in 2016, catching 74 passes for 1,050 yards and 14 touchdowns. That followed a sophomore season that saw him nab 50 passes for 842 yards and seven touchdowns.

"Battle, a 6'4" and 187-pound wide receiver from Cypress (Texas) Creek has a big-bodied frame, but has uncanny athleticism and playmaking skills inside of it," Brandon Huffman of Scout.com wrote in his scouting report. "He has good vertical skills and a great catch radius and that makes it an impossible task for smaller defensive backs to limit his effectiveness. He has put up great numbers under the lights and has shown on the camp circuit that he can test as well as anyone."

Watch any tape on Battle, and it's clear he's already a very well-rounded wideout:

Yes, Battle will need to grow into his frame more and add bulk. He'll also need to advance his route tree and become even more of a threat after the catch. And in the college game, the more talented defensive backs he'll face will test his separation skills and physicality.

But Battle already looks the part, and he appears capable of growing into a versatile, game-changing weapon in a few years for Oregon. He may not play immediately, but when he does, he should be, at worst, a solid possession receiver and red-zone threat.

Few programs in the country have done a better job of utilizing offensive weapons over the past several years than Oregon.

While the Ducks are under new leadership with head coach Willie Taggart, a high-octane offense should continue to be their calling card, and Battle is an ideal fit in that regard.
