Orioles' Seth Smith Hits 'Little League Home Run' vs. Rays
A series of Tampa Bay Rays throwing gaffes allowed Baltimore Orioles outfielder Seth Smith to circle the bases on Wednesday night.
The left-handed slugger hit a typical single to center field during the second inning. Gold Glover Kevin Kiermaier fired a throw to third base, but Evan Longoria could not snag the ball through baserunner Ryan Flaherty.
When it sailed past Longoria, Flaherty initially started home but retreated. Pitcher Alex Cobb's throw back to third, however, pegged the Orioles shortstop, who easily scored.

All the while, Smith chugged around the bases for a "Little League home run"; he was officially credited as a single, with errors from Kiermaier and Cobb on the play.
Smith's unconventional night continued in the 11th inning, when his walk-off walk gave the Orioles a 5-4 victory.
