PSG Transfer News: Alexis Sanchez Contact Reported Amid Arsenal Exit Rumours
Representatives of Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez have reportedly already met with Paris Saint-Germain chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi amid rumours the Chile international has refused several lucrative contract extension offers from the Gunners.
French daily L'Equipe (h/t Metro) reported the news, saying the forward isn't too impressed with Arsenal's offers and is contemplating his future.
Sports writer Mohammed Ali shared a photo of L'Equipe's front page, which announced the report:

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium for some time now, and according to the report, PSG believe they have an excellent chance of landing Sanchez.
Chelsea and Manchester City have frequently been mentioned as potential destinations, but the Gunners would obviously prefer not to sell to a Premier League rival. The report also states Sanchez is PSG's top priority for the summer.
Arsenal likely still hope Sanchez signs a new deal with the club, but the chances of that happening appear minimal at best at this point. The Chilean has spent much of the last few months sulking and visibly frustrated, per the Daily Telegraph's Sam Wallace:
With UEFA Champions League football next season seemingly impossible for Arsenal, the club appears ready to hit the reset button. The Gunners haven't won a Premier League title since 2004 and aren't expected to challenge England's other top clubs in the near future.
At 28 years old, Sanchez must feel his window to challenge for major silverware isn't that big anymore. He's still a top option in attack capable of helping out just about any club, and he has been nominated for this year's PFA Players' Player of the Year award for a reason, per Bleacher Report UK:
Chelsea and City are both expected to battle for the Premier League title next season and in years to come. Sanchez has already hinted at a move to the Blues, saying he loves London but wants to play for a contender, per Metro's Sean Kearns.
His contract situation further complicates matters. As reported by BeIN Sports (h/t Mattias Karen of ESPN FC), Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has already confirmed negotiations will not resume until after the season, and if a solution isn't reached in a hurry, a transfer might soon become inevitable.

Sanchez has just one year left on his deal, and one has to assume the Gunners would prefer to cash in over letting him walk on a free transfer.
Between Edinson Cavani, Lucas, Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler, PSG seem set in attack, but it never hurts to add a talent of Sanchez's level. The club has the financial might to both offer Sanchez massive wages and come up with a package that would suit Arsenal, but their lack of success in Europe might put the player off moving to France.
