Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Alexis Sanchez and Chris Willock
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly increased their interest in Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez. The Ligue 1 giants are said to have had talks with Sanchez's representatives, although the Gunners are thought to be reluctant to sell.
A report from Jason Burt of the Daily Telegraph has detailed how PSG are encouraged by Arsenal's desire to only sell their star striker to a club outside the Premier League:
"Arsenal do not want to sell to a Premier League rival which may strengthen the hand of PSG or Juventus or other foreign suitors – including several Chinese clubs.
PSG have long tracked Sanchez and have held a series of discussions with his representatives. It is understood those talks have now been stepped up again as the French club seek a significant overhaul of their squad this summer targeting a number of big-name signings.

Burt also detailed how PSG's hierarchy want more experience in attack after seeing the club knocked out of the UEFA Champions League following an historic comeback by Barcelona. Sanchez certainly boasts the versatility and scoring touch to be an asset for any top club in Europe.

His game is all about pace, tenacity, flair and versatility. Sanchez usually plays on the left but has proved this season he can operate as a centre-forward.
The results have been spectacular, with Sanchez scoring 22 times in all competitions for the Gunners, according to WhoScored.com. It's no wonder Arsenal don't want to sell their attacking talisman to a rival in England's top flight.
However, the decision may be taken away from the north London club if Sanchez gets his way. The 28-year-old former Barcelona ace is said to favour a move to Arsenal's London rivals Chelsea, per Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph.
Even so, beleaguered Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sees no reason to sell the forward whose contract doesn't expire until the summer of 2018. In fact, the Frenchman recently became perturbed at the suggestion there is concern about Sanchez's future, per Mark Crellin of Sky Sports: "I don't understand this anxiety, one and a half years before the end of a contract. It's absolutely denying what a professional guy is about."

Sanchez still seems set to leave the Emirates Stadium, despite Wenger's defiance. The Chilean wants a stronger challenge for major trophies, something Arsenal have again failed to muster this season.
However, Sanchez may want to think twice. After all, he has become a more prolific and complete forward since signing for the Gunners in 2014.
The onus should be on Wenger and Arsenal to build around Sanchez rather than finding ways to cope without him.
Academy Star Chris Willock Reportedly Set to Leave Arsenal
There could be more bad news for Wenger with talented academy prospect Chris Willock said to be determined to quit the Emirates Stadium this summer. The gifted 19-year-old could even leave for nothing with his contract set to expire, according to John Cross of the Daily Mirror.

However, Cross did note the Gunners may receive a fee, albeit a nominal one, should Celtic follow up their interest in Willock: "Scottish champions Celtic have been looking and that could end up with them paying a small compensation fee which would be bigger if he joined a Premier League club."
Willock is said to want to accelerate his progress but has found first-team chances in short supply in north London. Frankly, Willock's lack of involvement has been surprising since Wenger has never been shy about promoting academy players.
The likes of Cesc Fabregas, Jack Wilshere, Hector Bellerin and Alex Iwobi have all made the same step up. Bellerin and Iwobi have broken through in recent seasons while Willock has been overlooked.
His problem is compounded by other academy players appearing to be ahead of him in the pecking order. Both Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Ainsley Maitland-Niles have started games in the FA Cup this season.

It appears as though Willock is expected to continue biding his time. The teenage winger doesn't seem likely to settle for that.
Similarly, Sanchez may not choose to settle for Arsenal's current struggles. But there is no doubt his exit would be a huge blow for a team heavily reliant on his consistent brilliance in the final third.
